South Africa: What CAN be done:

Day 617, 23:59 Published in South Africa South Africa by Steven Bosch

With the typical articles circulating in our media, I have decided to outline some aspects that can be done at the moment.

Once again. Taxes, the citizen fee and minimum wage can only be proposed by congress.
South Africa has NO congress.
Therefore, there is no point in saying that Wizzie_don or Ines Schumacher aren't doing anything about the economic situation. They can't, as in, the game mechanics don't allow them to.

So where does that leave us?
Now there are people who believe strongly that they want to be in eSA, and that is fine.
Thing is, no company, mine included can afford the 24gold per person per day in terms of the minimum wage of R1000. So there will be no work until the markets calm down and the minimum wage is lowered. THIS CAN ONLY HAPPEN AFTER THE CONGRESS ELECTIONS - in 26 days.
The Same for taxes. The previous Reserve bank governor and Minister of Finance, Hireshmont Vellos has left a comprehensive economic recovery plan, which will be implemented in stages after congress has been elected.

Work and fight elsewhere

So, if you're in SA, you won't be able to work for the next 26 days. Technically, I'd recommend those that can to go and work in another country and accumulate wealth - donate what you can to the Reserve Bank of South Africa or to the eSouth Africa Health Center .

We are looking towards buying a Q5 hospital and you're worth more to us earning a salary than not: for that cause you can donate to: University of South Africa.

Here's the current progress: (Thanx Ovidiusza - Minister of Social Affairs)

The other side is that with the current World War raging, there is a lot of war action out there - if you can fight and gain experience, you can mean more to us as an army.
This doesn't mean that we're planning on waging war soon, but a strong army gives us more bargaining power to negotiate for MPPs, regions etc.

Citizenship

Because we have no congress (and won't have it for 26 days - reminder) anyone can get citizenship.
This means that we're still in danger of possible PTO in the coming elections.
Please keep your eyes and ears open and alert myself or our Minister of Intelligence, Luc Praetor, of any suspicious characters in the country (Having served as Director of Intel from the Gabriel era through the resistance, I'll find it hard not to constantly check people myself).

Forum

Even if you're not in the country, please join the forum and get involved in the South African community. You'll soon see that we have a contingent of charming people who can hi-jack any thread, and you'll make great friends.
The forum is also the best place to discuss plans, as it is a safe environment.

Interim Vice President

In terms of my role in the current transition government, I'd like to report on the role of the VP.
Ines and I have discussed that the crucial aspects of Foreign Affairs will be split between her and myself.

- eBrazil

As she has built up a negotiation relationship and understanding with eBrazil, she will continue with that, with my support if she is not available. The contract with eBrazil is running smoothly with the region being liberated, the MPP kicking in today, and the 300gold has already been payed to the Brazilian bank: Controle Nacional. Thus, the region has been liberated and the contract has been honoured to date.

-eIndonesia

The other occupying country in terms of eSouth Africa's original territory is eIndonesia.
As VP I will primarily deal with the Indonesians and negotiate our stance with them. Ines will join these negotiations when decisions need to be put on the table.

For now, we have negotiated a 4 month non aggression pact - the rewritten contract is being discussed by the Indonesian congress. According to the latest update that should go through by tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Later in the month we'll speak about regions and possible MPP (If it is at all beneficial for both countries). But in order to be successful we need to get numbers on the table in terms of a functioning country, to give us more leverage in negotiations.

Wizzie_don (our actual current president) serves on the Indonesian cabinet, but has not been unreasonable. For instance he did try to lower minimum wage on our request (which a president cannot do) and he has also voted yes for the MPP with Brazil. Thank you for that Wizzie.

So let us stand and work together, let us create wealth to buy a Q5 hospital (which we can do as soon as we've got the money raised and a president can propose it).

So by all means stay in SA if you want to, but know that we actually need you where you can gain experience, build your military ranking and get wealth to donate towards the hospital.
