By now I'm sure a lot of you know that we're in the process of taking over Mexico, they are (and have been for a little while now) our Natural Enemy. For some, this may come as a surprise. Others, well...we knew it was just the natural progression of things anyway.
The eUSA took over Baja some time ago to add Saltpeter to our 100/100 bonuses and it's been a bit of a resistance thorn ever since. Apparently I'm being told that at one point the Mexican government told the eUSA government that we'd have to pay up some gold to keep Baja, and I'm sure you know what the sentiment in the Administration was (likely no less than, "ROFLMAO!").
That said, Mexico does provide a few natural resources that we could use, in the event that we lose our holdings in Europe, namely Rubber. I'm not sure why we haven't moved our invasion on to the Southeast of Mexico, but I'm sure it is only a matter of time.
In my opinion, it wouldn't be a bad idea to take the Northwest of Mexico as well and add another Saltpeter mine to our resource list. What's your take on Mexico? Ally? Enemy? America's Boot?

Well in real life America owns ALL of Mexico's Debt, so technically they are Americas bitch. (Don't mean to be rude) I suppose a little more respect would have been nice from Mexico, but since they want to bitch i say take them out.
On the bad side, Mexico will be a torn in our asses in any future major war. You can count on that!
America should definitely invest a few spy's because any major country wanting to war on us will definitely contact them.

Isn't Aquitane originally France's? Aren't we allies? If we are, take rubber from Mexico, give Aquitane back to France. We keep are 100/100 bonuses and give an allie back territory. And it wouldn't hurt to have a second saltpeter mine, just in case.

It is not our place to step on people we consider inferior. The eUSA has a chance to make peace with a close neighbor, and we are rejecting that opportunity as much as, if not more than, Mexico is. Why can't we settle this with a rental agreement or a one-time payment?
We're just men and women lookin for moments. It's nice to know we've got friends north and south of the border...ha.

In RL, yes, we own much of Mexico's debt; but then, in RL China owns much of our debt...so who owns who again?
Sorry that you are not very informed. In RL only 40% of the Mexican debt is held by foreign nationals. Here in eRep is another thing...
In fact, in Real Life, Mexico's debt is now quite low, and is mostly outside the US, who are in terrible debt and crisis; you could learn something from our big experience in crisis.
With respect to the previous suggestion of eUSA paying rent for Baja, that happened but it was not a government offer; it was a Div 4 player that has lots of friends in eUSA who suggested eUSA government that eMexico could take Baja easily while eUSA was busy with ePoland, instead of helping ePoland win all...
And the eUSA president didn't laugh... he took the proposal to Congress and around. Mexico Congress was informed, but never voted since we would have needed an offer.
Seems eUSA got ePoland to leave eMexico (after we helped quite a bit taking eUSA out of Europe), fail us as allies, and only when ePoland stopped being a real ally, the balance changed.
We will see which is a trustable ally soon... eUSA or ePoland... Bad history for both...
