It seems that the solution to surviving in the new economy is that workers need to be ready to be versatile. Luckily we can study as well as work, therefore working on 2 skills at one time.
I recommend all people in Austria attempt to be good at several kinds of work, and be looking for where they are most useful. Employers need to coordinate with workers and talk to them about trying to find the appropriate workers for the job.
Employers may want to consider offering bonuses to workers who are willing to switch jobs and learn a new one.
