Slow Down, Whydontcha?

There are many things that can go faster. Like the website itself. I hope the admins can continue to improve the speed, correct the current buggy state, and change the changes that don't work. However, the speed at which citizens have rejected V1 is astounding.
Many older players have voiced their displeasure with the new version of the game. Our (now former) president Roby Petric is gone (may or may not be because of V1). Cicero is gone. Others I'm sure will be gone. V1 testers have complained loudly about the trivia, gold costs, and the war module. Their concerns are valid and should be addressed.
Other players are drafting petitions to return to beta. Time will tell whether any petitions affect the gameplay. I'm inclined to think they will not.
This is a new game, certainly not the same game that many fell in love with. Yet, V1 offers a new challenge, one which I look forward to conquering. I hope some players slow down and realize this.
