Slavic Party - A New Beginning

Day 317, 14:12 Published in Czech Republic Germany by shanethe13

Having logged onto Erepublik today, I immediately checked the results of the elections, and having seen that Ivan Hat won, I found that I was impartial towards these results. I'd have loved to win the election myself, however if I had, I would want it to be because the people of the country voted for me, not because we were able to bring in a dozen players a week before the election.

I also realized that many people were worried that I would simply become a puppet if elected, a figurehead for Parrot to control from behind the scenes. Whether this would have happened or not, we will probably never find out. As of this morning, Parrot has quit Erepublik, leaving myself in complete control of the party. With this new power at my disposal, I realized that something needed to be done, something that would change the way citizens of the Czech Republic would look at our party.

After debating it all day while at school, the answer finally came to me, I would turn the Slavic Party into something completely new, the Civil Reform Party. In addition, there are a few changes I would like to make to the platform of the party;

First of all, I understand that Parrot was pushing for the country to join the PEACE alliance, however this is something that will not be done in the immediately future. As of now, our country has more to lose by joining an alliance, than it does to gain. Therefore, until this situation changes, I will continue to encourage positive relations with members of each alliance, however will not join either until it becomes necessary.

For now, the biggest news I wanted to announce, is that I will not endorse blatant attacks, or unnecessary media-spam. If you are currently a member of the Slavic Party, and do not agree to these terms, I suggest you leave now. Feel free to criticize in a civil manner, but any more flame-baiting done by a member of this party, will be one way to ensure that the member caught taking part will never make it onto congress.

Some of the details are still being working out, however I simply wanted everyone to know that the Slavic Party is changing, no longer will we be known as childish spammers. Instead, we will follow in Vaclav's footsteps, continuing his goal of making the Czech Republic the greatest nation of them all. We have potential; dedicated citizens whom care for the country, companies willing to sacrifice profits for the benefit of the citizens as a whole, and most importantly, the will to succeed.
