I am exceptionally pleased to announce my Congressional candidacy in the beautiful State of Michigan, especially so because Michigan is my real life native state.

I have been privileged to serve the past nine terms in Congress, the past three as Congressional Whip. Although I’m not the most outspoken or influential in debate, I like to think I’ve served my nation well. Before I tell you why I want your vote, I want to offer you all a sincere apology. It’s been brought to my attention that a citizenship approval I made while working with ICE/ATO efforts on the night of PP elections was of a high-risk person, an individual sharing a near-identical namesake of a Federalist. My ability to use good judgment and follow immigration standards and procedure has been called into question. I would like to assure you all that under normal circumstances, this error would not have occurred. Despite the circumstances, it should not have occurred and given opportunity to serve another term, will not happen again.

Now, let’s discuss why I want your vote.

As your Senator, I am diligent and attentive to the issues presented for discussion, considering of the impact of legislation upon all citizens. In the past nine terms, I’ve rarely missed a vote (excluding a week-long not.so.fun hospital-stay late in my 2nd term). A vigorous economy is among my top priorities, and while I am still a student to macro-economics in V2, I pay close attention to economic matters and cast my vote with care.

I am a strong advocate of higher education and of the social programs administered by our Department of Interior. I value the input of our younger citizens, welcoming of new ideas from freshmen Senators and Congressional hopefuls and respectful of the work of veteran Senators. Without the support and early education offered by our national social programs and those administered by the parties and independent groups, it’s my belief fewer citizens would join our fighting forces or serve office to keep our nation Great.

A quick glance at my eus forums stats will reflect how well I know my way around the official US community boards. I often quietly work to update informational topics and guides throughout the boards.
Most recently, I have begun work on wiki in cooperation with the Department of Education, challenging myself to learn something new (wiki markup), evaluating ways to improve US-related wiki overall, identifying areas needing updates or added content. My background and non-Congressional activities

I spent the earliest days of my elife exploring the world after a failed attempt at enlisting in the US Miitary, slipping through the cracks of a system I later learned was in the midst of a major reorganization, living and working briefly in the iron mines of Spain while studying basic life skills and saving my earnings, participating in the ATO effort in eSA, meeting new friends from around the globe and ending my days absorbed in international media.

I opened my first company in Canada over a year ago, gaining hands-on business experience while operating a not-for-profit business to provide 0 skill jobs, supplemental food and basic introductory information for new citizens.

Upon returning to the US, I promptly joined the SFP and was soon given the position of Young Socialists director, again offering support for low-level and lesser experienced citizens. Soon thereafter, Josh Frost made a mysterious announcement of a special project in the works, interested parties inquire within. I pounced. Receiving my acceptance letter into Seal Team 6 was among the happiest days of my elife. (After all, I initially joined the game to RAWR.)

In November 2009, both groups, my fellow Seals and my party-mates in the SFP, suggested I run for Congress. I thought it a little odd as I was not a particularly politically-oriented person but more of an “idea person”. To my surprise, I won my first bid for Congress in Connecticut with their support. Since I was no longer able to deploy, I was placed in ST6 Reserves and continued working at ST6 communes. Eventually, I was promoted to Chief Petty Officer and subsequently, Lieutenant of a platoon, a position I still hold today.

Mid-way through my freshman term, I cast a controversial No to war with Japan vote and was quickly singled out and taken to task publicly by a few aggressive and outspoken citizens. Responding in haste to get back to my job of distributing food for MoW, I dug my hole even deeper by mis-speaking, further enraging a critical Barker. Thankfully, at least one person in the discussion noticed that despite my differing opinion and preference for encouraging Quality diplomacy, I fought on behalf of US interests anyway.

My first position in the lower levels of executive/administrative fields was distributing food for Meals on Wheels, a position I held steadily for 6 months and continue to be on emergency stand-by if needed. I served 2 months as director of The Pony Express and have worked for the FUS, Mentoring program, and The Salvation Army.

The next promotion came when I was handed the title of Director of the Department of Human Resources, going in blind with no direction or knowledge of a pre-existing program. Around the same time, Chocolate McSkittles was taking a hiatus and I discovered his Government Job Interest Notification form. I began by reworking the form to gather information I thought would be relevant to the various Departments seeking additional support staff. I continue to maintain the application files and make it available to government officials as a hiring resource. I do not personally place workers but I will assist in compiling lists of potential workers when notified of Department needs. Additionally, I use the information to identify ambitious young citizens who may need guides or training in the outside tools used most often in eRep.

In August 2010, I was invited to join Fionia’s Presidential campaign, running as her VP. Regrettably, her campaign was interrupted by real life events and she was unable to complete her platform before primaries. Despite her loss, I am appreciative of the opportunity she offered. In the end, I am extremely pleased with St Krems victory and performance thus far.

A diverse bunch of people who all share certain qualities, none of them allowed fear of failure or of offending others stand in the way of pursuing their goals.
