Skilled Workers Scheme

Skilled Workers Scheme

Well, the scheme has now passed House of Lords review and is now officially law

"Purpose: To regulate the market during times of hardship, such as war or underproduction. To ensure that crucial industries have a steady supply of high skilled labour. To produce arms and moving tickets during wartime shortages.

Procedure: Workers over skill 7 can volunteer for the scheme, with their General Manager's consent. General Managers of essential industries can offer their company to the government. Companies which have a strong and reliable history will be added to a list held by the Ministry of Work. During times of hardship(as agreed on by the Prime Minister and the Minister for Work) volunteer 'Skilled Workers' shall be transferred to essential industry sectors where demand greatly exceeds supply, to increase production.

Definitions: Underproduction refers to a situation where demand exceeds supply, and the continuation of this situation would prove detrimental to the UK as a whole."

So in simple terms, there are times when the UK economy fails us and there are no or very few products on the market, especially in times of war. So the theory goes that by gathering some of our most highly skilled workers together in specific industries we can increase production, end the shortage and ride out demand. If you're interested then please get in touch with us, preferably by a message(smoke signals would probably go unnoticed) and we'll add you to the list.
