Shoujo Channel

Day 635, 12:41 Published in Japan USA by Dokomo

Shoujo, or young girl, is a subset of manga that focuses on human and romantic relationships in a variety of settings. Many stories involve the introduction of a different outsider into a group or a conflict between friends. That siad, let us take a look at some of the shoujo manga that can teach us valuable lessons in eRepublik.

Ouran High School Host Club

A story about a group of guys who study at a prestigious high school. After studies they bring girls to their club and entertain then, have balls, banquets, and parties. One day a new student accidently walks in and breaks a vase. To pay it off he is forced to do manual labor. The only problem is that while he looks like a guy initially, Haruhi is really female. The club President, Tamaki, struggles with his strange attraction for a while before realizing this.

So, if strange people show up in your nation, don't take them at face value. You might see them as helpless newbies good for a quick boost to your economy, but underneath they might be a beautiful, sweet, and studious lady.

Kareshi Kaonojo no Jijou

Yukino Miyazawa is at the top of her class, until a transfer student, Arima, shows up to take her place. Yukino is a huge secret narcissist and vows to destroy him in order to gain the adulation of her peers. But Arima hides a secret too, because except for this foster parents he has been mistreated and abused by his family. He is stuck trying to live up to unreasonable demands others place upon him. The two of them discover each others secrets however and form a couple that will let them reach out and be honest about themselves to the world.

Remember that people can have strange motivations for why they act. Don't be quick to judge, but help them to be honest with themselves. Make friends with them and help them make friends with others. There will always be difficulties ahead, but the key is to make bonds strong enough to overcome them.

Honey and Clover

Art college in Japan is a strange place, filled with love triangles, insane deadlines, and worries about work after graduation. Hagumi Hanamoto is the newest art student and her cute and shy demeanor instantly attracted two of her fellow students. Takemoto is a mellow freshman, who befriends Hagu and helps her with projects as well as becoming more involved in their group of friends. Morita is a hyper active perpetual student. He drops out of school every semester to work tirelessly for several months. His pursuit of Hagu is frantic, calling her Mouse, and taking photographs. His personality is very charismatic and likable however. Though the series is still ongoing, Hagu has not been able to decide which she likes more.

When you are confronted by two options there might not be a "better" choice, just two different ones. A lot depends on what you like and how you feel. Don't worry about taking your time to decide because some things can't be rushed.

In closing, I am announcing my intention to run for Congress in Japan. I will be releasing a platform later. Thank you everyone!
