Shanethe13 for Mayor of Plzen!

Day 274, 06:33 Published in Czech Republic Germany by shanethe13

Glorious Republik!

I apologize for my absense in the past week, however I was forced to attend to a family crisis, and have only now returned. With my arrival, I am gladdened to see that you have strengthened yourselves to a level of power even larger than that of its value beforehand! With the ratification of our constitution, we are now at the strongest we have ever been. For these changes, I commend both our previous politicians, and our new ones; Vaclav, Ivan Hat, CaesarII, and our new Tzar, Baci. You have done a great job in the past, and are continuing to do so into the future. You have done great things for our country, and we are forever thankful!

As for me, it may come as a shock that a relatively new player such as myself would run for a position such as mayor. Will someone with only a month in this game understand all that it required? The answer is no! I do not know everything there is to know about Erepublik, but neither does anyone else. However, I have the will to learn, and the mentors to teach me. The thing about a position such as Mayor, is that it cannot be held by one person at any time. This position requires teamwork, dedication, and trust. If elected, I may be the figurehead behind the position, but that does not mean that I am the one with the power. No! The people are given the power! I am only given the ability to act on the decisions of the majority. With advice from friends such as Vaclav or Baci, and the support of a nation as loyal as you are, we cannot fail if we act as a country. There may be countries with more people, more money, or more companies, however this is a result of them acting individually. They don't care about their country, they care about themselves. We are different, we care what happens to the Czech Republic, and through acting on this trait, through gathering the ideas of our people, we can turn our disadvantage around, and become the most powerful nation in existence!

What does any of this have to do with me running for mayor you ask? This position is not about manipulating taxes, or purchasing hospitals. These actions are possible from this position, however the real duty of mayor is inspiring hope into the people, giving them pride in their nation, and most importantly, guiding us through hard times. In order to accomplish this, you need a mayor who can lead. I am that mayor.

Glory to the republic!
Long live the Tzar!
