Secundus Senatus Consultum (Second Senate Decree)

Act of Union between the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

Approved unanimously by the Senate, Day 3456

The respective governments of the above-named nations agree that the Kingdom of Belgium and the Republic will merge to form one sovereign state, with shared foreign and domestic policies, a shared treasury, and shared citizenship.

The name of this new state will be the Republic of Great Britain, Belgium, and Northern Ireland.

The government structure of this new state will be that described in the Declaration of the Republic, and in the Princepes Senatus Consultum.

The Republic will assume responsibility for, and uphold, all Belgian foreign policy obligations.

Belgian citizens will be eligible for admission into the Senate of the Republic, and the Belgian Congress will become a second Assembly of the Plebs.

Any financial requests made of Belgium will be put before their Plebian Assembly.

The Country President of Belgium will be recognized as a Proconsul of the Republic. This Proconsul will be third in the Senate line of seniority.

Republic citizenship will be available to Belgian citizens, and Belgian citizenship will be available to Republic citizens.

Upon the agreement of the two respective nations’ governments, this act will take effect with immediate effect.
