Scenario 3 response

Day 1,553, 16:10 Published in Canada Canada by George Beeman

You are half-way through your term as President, when a sickness in the family occurs and prevents you from being able to perform your duty for an entire week. You have one day before you need to leave. What would you do to prepare your Cabinet, Congress, and/or the citizens for your sudden departure? How would you ensure this creates the least amount of problems for eCanada as possible?

To make things more interesting, let's say that eCanada is occupying part of the eUK with eIreland and eFrance, just as we are actually doing now.

This one is fairly simple, imo.

First of all, mass PM the Congress usergroup and tell them that my VP will take my place and inform them of the situation. Also mass PM Cabinet informing them of the situation. And lastly, inform Terra and EDEN that my VP will be replacing me.

Since my cabinet would be composed of people I trust completely, I'd give the VP, MoD and MoFA complete control during my absence (VP just overall, MoD in battle strategy and orders, and MoFA would resolve situations to the best of their knowledge).

Congress would be informed that since the VP is taking my place, please consider any executive orders and regular orders the same way you would the regular CP's.

This scenario doesn't specify just how gone you are, whether you can press buttons or not. If I can, then this paragraph is useless. If not, I give my account to my VP temporarily. Again, the VP is someone I trust utterly.

tl;dr: Move my VP into place. Give him/her my account. Inform everyone involved that I'm gone. Keep thing moving normally so that people keep calm and carry on.
