Say It

USA, 16:20 (Nov26) | Day 737 of the New World

We celebrate Thanksgiving with foods, cheer, drinks and family/friends. Its a great holiday, one celebrated not only in America but in many other countries around the world. Its pleasant to see a table full of a variety of food, knowing that despite the hard times we still have our daily bread and when the time comes to celebrate we our blessed with a bountiful harvest. Thanksgiving is exactly what it says, giving thanks for the roof over our heads, the warm bed we sleep in at night and the food in our stomachs. Its important to remember that no matter how bad things may be for us compared to many we are lucky, blessed, with the things we have. Many don't have the luxuries that we have, the family, friends we have.

Regardless of the economy, work or lack there of etc, we celebrate and give thanks for what we have, be that little or plenty. Many of us give thanks to our parents for they supply or supplied us with our needs on a daily basis. Many give thanks to their spouse, they have been by our side, they are our life long companions. Many give thanks to family, friends who have shown care and have helped us in our time of need. Those who believe give thanks to God, for his provision, protection, care, and mercy.

The most important thing is not only to think about it but to say it, whomever it may be, a friend, a mother or father, God or a spouse its important to not only feel it but speak our thanks to that person. It shows gratitude and lets them know their good deeds and care have not been overlooked or ignored. Rather its sitting down with someone and giving our thanks or kneeling and saying a prayer, lets not forget to celebrate, party, but in the end to make sure those who deserve our gratitude, hear it.

Editor's Corner - Most of All
Thanksgiving Day brings to mind
the blessings in our lives
that usually go unnotice😛
a home that surrounds us
with comfort and protection;
delicious food, for pleasure
in both eating and sharing;
clothes to snuggle up in,
books and good entertainment
to expand our minds;
and freedom to worship our God.

Most of all we are thankful
for our family and friends,
those treasured people
who make our lives extra special.

You are part of that cherished group.
On Thanksgiving, (and every day)
we appreciate you.

Happy Thanksgiving!
