SAGP Endorsement for Country President, Feb. 2011

Dear People of South Africa,
This month's Presidential Elections have come around once again and, once again, several citizens have come out of the woodwork and announced their intent on running for the presidency. Our two official candidates running this month are the combined effort of the political powerhouses that are Team Krimpiekat/CyberWitch against six-time congressman, four-time Speaker Al Kazar. The SAGP have unanimously chosen to pledge our support for one of these candidates, as ever it was a difficult choice as both candidates offer a multitude of reasons for our support and are more than capable of running the country in their own right. However our party decided to fully endorse KrimpieWitch in their bid for the Presidency today.
We feel that Krimpiekat's vast knowledge and experience of eRepublik, military and otherwise, in addition to CyberWitch's extensive Cabinet experience complement each-other perfectly and the SAGP has the utmost trust in them to work well together as a team and run an intelligent and efficient Executive operation. Krimpiekat's honesty, respect for his opponents and lack of any form of "Political Spam" has deeply impressed and enamored our party and we feel that both Krimpie and his sister and running mate have won the hearts and minds of people across South Africa.
We would also like to note that Hamilton Moore is NOT An Official Candidate, but instead was automatically put down when he resurrected the South African Gold Party.

Why not announce that your in-game candidate was not official earlier before people had already voted for him?
Again, Delphinus, there were technical difficulties at SAGPHQ.
We have always been open about our support for KrimpieWitch if asked; however our endorsement had not published and so this is the best way to inform the public-at-large of our decision.
It had always been planned for us to publish this article but various factors delayed it.

There have been issues with the Political Modules, and the IA could not show our support for Krimp because of it.
However, seriously a bit late. Hamilton should have run, he is obviously a string candidate 😃
I'm barely playing eRep at the moment Mark, which the SAGP knew. I did announce ages ago both in game through shouts and on the forum that I was not a real presidential candidate and that I wasn't able to change our presidential nomination for some reason.
Really sorry about this to everyone who voted for me.
Your mistake, your responsibility to rectify to the best of your ability, if shouts and a forum post is the best of your ability then so be it. I do not believe it would have made a difference in who win, but shows a bit of disregard for the avg citizen from SAGP / Hamilton

I'd rather win through intelligent voters rather than two-clickers. I think a lot of people put their asses on the live at election time and get a reality shock if their candidate doesn't win. Be gracious in defeat.
Venetia, please get over yourself now. I know that you have been against me especially since I called you out about your disdain for ordinary citizens which you are once again demonstrating in your comment above.
Nobody is being ungracious in defeat and Rexdeus actually supported Krimpie not me.

In all seriousness, I didn't realize that the SAGP had yet to publish something until yesterday so I took it into my own hands. We screwed the pooch this time - yes, I admitted I was wrong, take a picture; it lasts longer.
