A law exam topic at the 2012 national French high school graduation exam (le Baccalauréat) for Science and Management Technology insults the Romanians, according to UNSEN-CGT Educ’ation union. The topic is the following:

“Detail the formalities that need to be taken by a leather worker who wants to protect his trademark for 20 years from counterfeiters working in Romania.”



“The topic and the question did not need to contain the reference to Romania. Instead of bringing clues for the topic, this mention is insulting for Romanians, who are again stigmatized, after the offending proposals made by the previous government,” reads a press release from the French union.

“We suggest that the next year topic be: Present the formalities that students need to take in order to protect themselves from insulting topics,” the release adds, underlining that the union will continue to fight racism.
