Ryan's Guide to the MDU (and cookies)

Day 480, 14:51 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by MDU Press Office

The Movement for Democratic Unity (MDU) isn’t the newest, or biggest or even most influential party in the eUK – but we get the job done. So maybe there aren’t dozens of members to help you … but hey, at least for the amount of members we do have, each one of them contributes and helps to the general well-being of the party.
Our members are dedicated and active on our forums, and it’s safe to say that we are one of the most active parties, we have a rising amount of people in Congress each time and people dedicated to the cause of the party – democratic unity … and that’s what makes MDU, the place for you.

Why Join The MDU?

It’s quite simple, everyone’s ideas matter in our party. Since we have active forums and a brilliant Party President (which is going to change to a just as capable member) it’s definite that you will be heard and your opinions will be voiced, you won’t be shunned or cast aside because you haven’t been here for too long. Not too long ago, I was the new kid on the block, and I didn’t really do anything because to be honest I felt overshadowed by the other members. I’ll quote, “Don’t let being new hold you back”, and now because of this energetic quote from dedicated MDU two-time Party President and one of the runner-ups in the UK Presidential Elections March 2009, Oexis, I have made my way into Foreign Affairs and seek to be running for Congress next term. I put my success down to the MDU and it’s party members of whom I find reliable and trustworthy.
It’s simple to rise up in the ranks of the MDU, within a week of being in the party I was the MDU Director of Foreign Affairs, a position which I had to give up because I was going for outer-party reasons. The members will answer all of your questions about the party and its intent satisfactorily.

Criticisms:

The MDU is criticized on several different levels. For not having enough members, having no policies, publishing very few articles and etc., etc..
I’ll start with the ‘members’ criticism. Althogh we have just under 100 members, the members we do have are both active and are just generally great people. The atmosphere in the forums is one of a hard-working nature … simply ‘cause we’re cool like that!
Policies is something that in the past few weeks we’ve all been working on and next term (of the new PP) we will unveil our policies which we have all built from scratch, these will cover issues like Finance, NHS Reform, Foreign Affairs and other topical issues like the Military and Regional Councils.
The MDU has it’s own newspaper, from which this is being published in – ‘The Voice of Democratic Unity’, often called the VDU. Our articles are often well-written and detailed but not often picked up. I expect in the future they will be… or at least I hope so.

Conclusion:

No need for one of these. The MDU rules, to put is simply. Join us! .. WE HAVE COOKIES!

Thank you
