Running in Tennessee

Day 1,370, 19:18 Published in USA USA by Kijiman

Alright, I promise this one's real. I actually am running for congress in Tennessee this time, under the Federalist party, not that I expect to win. At this point, I'm just hoping there's a PTO threat in Tennessee, and people are forced to vote for me. But assuming that there isn't a PTO, I guess I'll go over the reasons why you should vote for me anyways.

Qualifications:

Yes, even at only three months, I have some qualifications. They might not be as extensive as some other potential congressmen/women's, but they still count.

VPP of the UIP
-I'm a pretty well known guy around the remaining active members of the UIP, and this month I was privileged enough for thedillpickl to want to have me as his VPP. Even though the UIP isn't a top 5 party, it still requires a relatively high amount of effort and motivation to keep running. On top of that, I was also Deputy VPP for two terms. So basically, I didn't do anything for those two terms, but hey, the title "Deputy Vice-Party President of the UIP" looks pretty darn good on a resume if I do say so myself.

Officer in the United States Training Corps
-My fellow members of the TC can vouch for my activity on IRC, forums, etc. I try to be a helpful member of the community to all. I'm sure if you ask around, people will say they sorta like me. And by sorta like me, I mean that they tolerate me. And by tolerate me, I mean that they haven't fired me yet. So that basically proves that I'm a pretty good guy.

Active newspaper
-I think this is a necessity for any successful congressman. Communication of issues, and the reasoning behind your decisions is essential. I try to keep my articles war-oriented, since the other ones all fail, badly. But that's mostly due to the fact that I've never really been qualified to talk about political matters. At the time of writing this article, I have 85 subscribers, a respectable number I hope. But that might be attributed to the fact that I have 84 friends. Oh well.

Not active on the eUSA forums
-But Kiji, most of a congressman's job is on the eUSA forums, how can this possible be a qualification?
Have you seen the crap on those forums? You can't post anything without it getting trolled incessantly, or with people disagreeing with whatever you say. I literally have 1 post on the forums, and I intend to keep it that way, save for the congressional boards.

Congressional agenda

Well, my previous plans of single-handedly liberating the eUS no longer work for obvious reasons.

So I guess I'll have to rethink my game plan quite a bit. Honestly, without a very large backing, congressmen aren't in a position to follow personal agenda (or have it be successful anyways). So I guess my only real agenda is to help maintain political security, vote with the majority, and learn about congress in general. If you aren't satisfied with that, my other congressional goal is to help bridge the gap between the eUSmil and the USAF. Congress is going to be roughly split between USAF and eUSmil members this month with the rise of the AMP, a predominantly eUSmil members party, and hopefully we can improve relations between the two.

Alright, so that's why you should vote for me this month in Tennessee. Obviously, this is my first time running for congress, and it really, really bothered me not putting in a link to a platform when I candidated.

Make sure you sign up for your respective parties' voting problem so that you know your vote is going to a good congressman, whether its me or not.

As always, stay classy folks.
