Join the new world

הכותרת של המאמר הזה לא מקורית במיוחד, אני מניח. זוהי הפעם השלישית שאני רץ לכנסת. הצטרפתי למשחק, ומיד רצתי לכנסת, בחשיבה שגם אם זה לא יצליח, זה לא יכול לפגוע בי. לא נבחרתי. בחודש שעבר רצתי שוב, עם יותר ניסיון במשחק. גם אז נשארתי בחוץ, אך כמעט הצלחתי.

עכשיו אני צריך לשכנע אתכם להצביע לי גם הפעם. אז הרעיונות שלי לא השתנו הרבה. בתחום הדיפלומטיה, אני עדיין מאמין בשמירה על יחסים חמים ובשיתוף פעולה הדדי פעיל בינינו לבין מדינות אחרות באזור ובעולם, כמו טורקיה, יוון וקפריסין. אני דוגל במיוחד ברעיון של שיתוף פעולה עמוק בין המדינות הקטנות יותר בעולם, כגון ישראל, קפריסין, הודו, מולדובה ואחרות; אלו רק כמה דוגמאות. אני מאמין בהקמת ברית בינלאומית רחבה, שתכלול מדינות קטנות רבות הפועלות ביחד, וכך זוכות לכוח ולהכרה של מדינה גדולה - כמו ברית STAR שהייתה בעבר, רק גדולה ופעילה יותר. בתחום הצבאי אני מאמין בחידוש צה"ל, ובתחום החברתי והמנהלי - בניסוח חוקה מסודרת לישראל.

הגיע הזמן שארחיב על הנקודות האלה. בשבילי, מה שמבדיל את הבחירות הבאות מהקודמות הוא שהחודש התחלתי לעשות דברים. בשבועות האחרונים התפתחה פעילות סביב שני נושאים: הקמת צה"ל מחדש וניסוח החוקה. אני השתתפתי בכל הדיונים שהיו עד כה על הקמת צה"ל, ובימים אלה אני מארגן, ביחד עם כמה אחרים, דיון בנושא ניסוח החוקה (שיתקיים ביום חמישי ב-21:00, וכולם מוזמנים אליו). אני חושב שצה"ל יתרום רבות למדינה, יעזור לגבש אותה ויהווה מסגרת המקבלת חדשים ותומכת בהם יותר משאנחנו מסוגלים כרגע. בנוגע לחוקה, אני מאמין שהיא צריכה להתגבש לאט-לאט, דרך חוקי יסוד ספציפיים המוצעים כשהם נחוצים. לדוגמה: בדיון הקרוב ארצה לדון בחוק יסוד: הכנסת, שיגדיר את מבנה הכנסת (טיוטה שלו הציג טאו בפורום הלאומי). יוכלו להיות חוקי היסוד הנוגעים למבנה הממשלה והצבא, ואף לדברים כמו כללים חברתיים, שיקבלו תוקף חוקי מוגדר. אל שני הדברים הללו - צה"ל והחוקה - יצטרפו בחודש הבא, אם תבחרו בי, נושאים נוספים, כגון חיזוק קשרינו עם מדינות קטנות אחרות והפעלת כנסת משמעותית וסמכותית יותר, בעלת כוח והשפעה, וכמובן שגם אתרום את הכסף מהמדליה ואדאג לאישורי אזרחות רק לפי הוראות משרד ההגירה.

אז ביום שישי הקרוב, אם אתם רוצים לראות את ישראל מזנקת לזירה הבינלאומית, מתגבשת בתוך עצמה ומתקדמת לעבר חברה חזקה ומסודרת - הצביעו אוגוסטוס גרים לכנסת בגבולות הצפוניים!

This article's title isn't particularly original, I guess. This is the third time I'm running for the Knesset. I joined the game, and immediately ran for the Knesset, thinking that even if I don't succeed, it can't hurt me. I didn't get elected. Last month I ran again, with more experience in the game. I stayed out that time, too, but almost made it.

Now I need to convince you to vote for me this time as well. So, my ideas haven't changed that much. In the field of diplomacy, I still believe in keeping a warm relationship and mutual cooperation between us and other countries in the region and around the world, such as Turkey, Greece and Cyprus. I particularly support in the idea of deep collaboration between the smaller nations of the eWorld, like eIsrael, eCyprus, eIndia, eMoldova and others; those are only a few examples. I believe in the establishment of a wide international alliance, which would consist of many small countries working together, thus gaining the power and recognition of a big country – like the former STAR alliance, only bigger and more active. In the military field I support the re-establishment of the eIDF, and in the social/administrative field – in the writing of a constitution for eIsrael.

It's time I expanded on these points. For me, what distinguishes the coming elections from the last ones are that this month I actually started doing things. In the last few weeks there was a rise in activity surrounding two subjects: re-establishing eIDF and the formation of the constitution. I participated in all discussions regarding the re-establishment of the eIDF so far, and right now I am organizing, with several other people, a discussion about the formation of the constitution (which will be on Thursday, 21:00, and everybody is invited). I think the eIDF would greatly contribute to our nation, help unifying it and act as a framework for welcoming new players, supporting them more than we can at the moment. As for the constitution, I believe it should form slowly, through particular basic laws that are proposed only when they are required. For example: in the coming discussion I would like to discuss Basic Law: The Knesset, which would define the structure of the Knesset (a draft of which was presented by Tao on the national forum). There would be basic laws that define the structure of the government and the army, and even things like social rules, which would be given legal authority. These two things – the eIDF and the constitution – will be joined by other things next month, like strengthening our ties with other small nations and operating a more significant and more authoritative Knesset, with power and influence – if you vote for me. And, naturally, I will donate the money from the medal and approve citizenship only according to the orders of the Ministry of Immigration.

So on Friday, if you want to see eIsrael leaping into the international field, forming itself on the inside and making progress towards a strong, orderly society – vote for Augustus Grim for the Knesset in Northern Borders!
