:: Announcement ::
I, Joshua Hoss, do hereby intend to run for Party President of the United Zionist Party.

:: Why? ::
Lately our country has been hit by a level of great inactiveness. Part of this may be due to V2, part of it may be due to new countries opening up (and people leaving), and part of it may be due to the general nature of our country. I don’t know. What I do know is that our country is a disgrace right now. We need to be more active!

So why am I running for Party President? Simple – I want to increase activity. Not just in one party. Not just those I agree with. I mean all of eIsreal. We need more people who contribute ideas. No one person can say they are right all of the time (and if they do say that then they are a nut job). The best ideas come from the merging of ideas from many. It is hard for one person to think of every little detail, but several people together can accomplish this better. That is my main goal – increased activity across the board.

You also may have heard people call for the “closure” of all but one party in eIsrael. This is something I disagree with very strongly. Why? Because no two people agree all the time. eIsrael is a country full of people with great ideas. If you try to shove them into one party many people will either become frustrated when their ideas never seem to be heard or continue to be “ignored” by the party leadership. Important decisions tend to polarize people, and force them to find people who agree with their own ideas in order to be heard. You just can’t do that within one party. I also do not agree with the trend in eIsrael to have two strong parties. I feel that having two strong parties leads to more fighting than there should be because of past decisions (for example one party feels the other party “stole votes” and thus decides to do it themselves”). I think having at least 3 strong parties will help negate some of that arguing by allowing one party to act as a “mediator” to the other two. And this “mediation” can be fluid; it does not always have to be the same party. Any of the parties could assume this role depending on the discussion.

:: Proposals ::
Here are my “5 Proposals” that I will work towards if I am elected as Party President:

1. Rename the party from “United Zionist Party” (Or UZP for short) to “eIsraeli Cooperative Party” (or ICP for short). This will signify the party’s goal of being cooperative for the betterment of eIsrael, not personal gain.
2. Push for all articles published by party members (and eventually all citizens) to be done so in both Hebrew and English. A large part of this will be to work towards creating a government funded “Translation Service” that will pay volunteers to translate articles. These volunteers will be paid for their services and listed in public so citizens may know where to go for translation services.
3. Demand that all party members abstain from involvement in any argument regarding real life location and real life religion. This will include arguments dealing in the “real life Israeli vs. Foreigner” argument that plagues our country. It also includes staying out of any “party vs. party” disagreement and instead focuses on mediating any large scale disagreements between the other parties.
4. Begin work with the other parties of eIsrael to create a “Recommended Knesset List” each Knesset election. This will involve all parties meeting together, evaluating those running for Knesset, and then making recommendations for the public on who to vote for. Because of our small population recommendations will be made not on a “party vs. party” basis but on an activity basis. This means that “majority” and “minority” will not be as important as activity. Candidates will be recommended based on first on their activity levels rather than party affiliation. The parties will need to work together to ensure those citizens who are active and dedicated to eIsrael get elected, not just those from their own party.
5. Encourage party members to participate in discussion on all government issues in order to promote the free flow of ideas, but demand they do so in an intelligent and mature way. It is understandable that some discussions become heated and emotional, but eIsrael should be placed above a person’s own political/military/personal goals. Discussion is good, flaming/trolling are not.


:: So why vote for me? ::
I’m trying to change the way we play the game. If you are sick of all the fighting, name calling, trolling, flaming, and inactivity then help me do something about it. Imagine being able to change the current thought process in eIsrael – going away from “if you are not with me, you are against me” to “hey, you have a different perspective and I want to hear it in order to ensure we pick the best idea”.

אני, חוס יהושע, בזאת מתכוון להפעיל עבור המפלגה נשיא המפלגה המאוחדת ציוני.

:: מדוע? ::
לאחרונה המדינה שלנו הכה לפי רמה של inactiveness הגדול. חלק זה עשוי לנבוע V2 חלק ממנו עשוי להיות עקב מדינות חדשות לפתוח (ואנשים לצאת), חלק ממנו עשוי להיות עקב האופי הכללי של המדינה שלנו. לא יודע. מה שאני יודע הוא כי המדינה שלנו הוא בושה עכשיו. אנחנו צריכים להיות יותר פעיל!
