Running for Parliament

Day 1,830, 09:49 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Antonio Hamilton

Good day to you all,

Before I get going, I’d like to thank everyone who read, subscribed, voted or commented on my first newspaper article. My hopes for anyone doing so were limited, so it’s appreciated.

Today, Bohemond4 and The Unity Party officially approved my submission to run for Parliament this month. I’d like to thank Bohemond4 for this opportunity and I will endeavour to do my best.

So, as promised in my last article, I am going to tell you a little more about me and what I’ll do if elected by you good people. I joined the eWorld on 12 October 2012 and for the first month, I simply observed, read and clicked. I wanted to see what the community was like and learn more about the game. I have to say that the latter was much easier than the former. Although on a personal level I have experienced nothing but friendliness and encouragement, I was shocked by the level of hate between all sides in the community.

In the last couple of weeks, I have become far more involved in the community, primarily through IRC, and decided that perhaps a newer and more objective voice might be a good thing for everyone. With the seemingly endless history to learn, the complexities of international relations to master and the deep rivalries to understand, I can see how running for anything in eUK would put even the most talented and capable people off. But I am going to run as someone with a fresh point of view, with no enemies and with no intention to make any.

I have never run for Parliament before, but there is one thing I know for sure. I am elected by the people of the eUK and that’s important to me. Therefore, should I be elected, I want anyone who has questions or concerns to contact me. First and foremost, I will be representing your interests and views, before anything else.

I’ll close this sort-of manifesto by saying that I am just an ordinary eUK’er who wants to make the eUK a better place and a friendlier place for people to take part in. If you’re anything like me, you’ll not look to vote for someone based on their medals or how much damage they can do in two hours, but will be voting for someone who’s level-headed and mature in their judgement.

Thank you for reading and please...

VOTE FOR ME!

AH.
