You've only been eIrish for 3 weeks.

Maybe you could get a little more experience of being in eIreland, and familiarizing yourself with some of it's political intricacies. That would make for a solid CP run in the future, and you could probably get some positions as deputy minister, and eventually minister, in the meantime.

Minister of community is generally a great opening venture into eIreland politics. I highly recommend you ask the winning CP to be a deputy minister of community, for some great experience.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but going for CP is probably diving into the deep end before you can swim. It's an overwhelming position that has gotten the best of more than a few veteran players. It's a lot more than just getting another medal for your profile page. Be patient, and work your way toward it. You seem to be a good eIrish citizen, and I would hate to see you have a bad experience this early in your e-life.

We will have a chance then. You have a CHANCE now. LOL 😛 I agree somewhat with Bhane. I'm stressed to to the gills as is. Some have said run for CP and strike while the iron is hot and before my contribs are forgotten this past month. I can tell you as much as I'd want the honor and that shiny thing on my profile and eResume I'd much rather maintain what sanity I have left in the eWorld.

I am absolutely certain that there is a lot more to being CP than in realised by most, but I don't intend to be doing it by myself. I genuinely want to try and bring the country together as a single unit, and I think that since I have no baggage to talk of, I can bring confidence to the post.
I have no ulterior motives, perceived or otherwise, and am not on some ego trip.. just offering honest to God, sleeves rolled up dedication and time.

Cheers Chance.. it was actually you i was thinking about. I have known you a fair while now, and your contribution to the cause has been phenomenal.. I really doubt it will ever be forgotten.
I also saw how stressed it could make you, and wondered if I really wanted a can of that.. and I took the day to think it over.
I think at this moment in time, given our potential predicament, I can take the stress and work if it means we still have all we value at the end of it.

I don't know, I think that your experience could be called into question, given that you have been in the game for less than a month, and have yet to really hold a position of power. With that being said, you are a good guy, and if you are serious about this then I wish you all the best with it.

Thanks Christian.. I know my lack of time here is something that people will pull me up on.. but there isn't much I can do about the time aspect. I will be dependent on lots of others, who do have experience, to advise and guide me, although ultimately, I will fight for what is right, or die trying.

I don't think anyone is accusing you of "ulterior motives." I think most people realize your idea was well-intentioned, even if it was a bit naive. I don't think you were ego-tripping, and you genuinely wanted to make eIreland better.

If you did run and win, the most likely scenario would have been that you would be overwhelmed and fall flat on your face. You would hurt yourself, and eIreland. None of failures would be out of malicious intent, but simply a product of inexperience. The chances that you would beat those odds are slim to none. I would rather see you develop as an eRep citizen, rather than have a bad experience and leave the game in frustration.

Not to be harsh or anything but Bhane is dead right, it takes a huge amount of exp to do it and most cant handle it.

You don't have the international contacts I feel, sorry mate.

Its good having choice and I do feel its premature but many people have succeeded in tough positions before . I think your choice of ministers will be the make or break point for you so you should chose them before the election .

It is good to see that there are lots of people out there keeping the eye on the ball.. comforting even. I wish the two Candidates the best of luck.

Get a ministerial position this term and maybe run for CP in a few months!

We saw what happens when that is the case when JC was CP and in less than 10 days we had fought for the UK (which sickened me and many others) had lost all our funds and 2/5 regions. Cork would have been taken as well if me and IB didn't get Romper over.

Its a poisoned chalice. There are only 3 people who I know who can do this job correctly, IBhoy, Marcus and Celtic Tiger. There may be more but they are as yet unproven.o7.
