Oh Canada! We have liberated Yukon from Iran after Iran declared war on us! Now they have one last foothold in North America and hopefully we'll take that back soon and be one step closer to having our original territories back.

I've decided to run for Congress once again from British Columbia ... though if my Party President wants me to switch I will do that closer to the election. I have enjoyed representing British Columbia for the past month in Congress. I have also very much enjoyed being in Congress and participating in debates with the other members there.

I have posted 100 times now in such debates in the Canadian Forums where I've tried to bring my experience as a former 4 time President of the eUSA, former party President to the USWP (the largest party in the world at the time), and a 6 time Congressman. Next week marks my one year anniversary with eRepublik and I have seen the game change so much during that time and that is all experience that I bring to representing Canada in addition to my Field Marshal combat status.

I first came to Canadian politics to help thwart a PTO by the Hungarians and we were narrowly able to do so. Since then I've worked in 3 political parties under 3 great guys during my last 2 terms as a member of the Canadian Congress. First I started under Citizen B with the DAL, then I came back under Goran Thrax of the CNC when Canada was reformed. Both of those guys are old friends and I have enjoyed working with them. I've now joined a new party ... the Canadian Progressive Front under the guidance of Tyler Durden and Bruck with Tyler being a new friend and Bruck being a buddy back when we were running our respective nations of eUSA and eCanada.

I believe that the Canadian Progressive Front is looking at playing the game by game mechanics and that is what Canada needs. Too many times in my political career I've seen players get bogged down into role playing. By role playing I mean representing interests in the game that have a real life equivalent but have no place in eRep if we're focused on either surviving with PEACE or winning the game with our allies. I've seen this attitude affect how we are willing to treat the eUK, who back stabbed us, by not embargoing them because a dozen or so companies have export licenses with them and we should just learn to be friends. Further, a NAP (non-aggression pact) was recently proposed by our Prime Minister with the eUK that, while seeming honorable, will only hurt Canada in the long run when PEACE exploits loopholes that have been pointed out by critics. The eUK are not our friends and they have made that abundantly clear.

But I digress. I am excited to be part of a movement that is looking to take back Canada and play hardball with the rest of the world. Right now we need to be lean and mean if we're going to get our territories back and keep them. We can't do this by appeasing our enemies and by being nice all the time.
