Join the new world

I am putting my name forward as a candidate for Congress in Yorkshire & Humberside.

Let me lay my cards on the table. I am still a relatively new citizen. I have been around for slightly less than three months. Some may see this as being an insurmountable disadvantage. I see it otherwise.

Firstly, it would allow me to present the perspective of newer players. Something that I feel is sorely lacking at this moment in time. This does not mean that I would disregard the knowledge or advice of older citizens. To the contrary, I am always eager to learn and to listen to any truly constructive advice.

Secondly, it allows me to view everything with a truly open mind, not bogged down by old traditions, animosities, grudges or historical baggage. Knowledge of such things can be useful but, more often than not, it gets in the way of fresh ideas and solutions.

Thirdly, I will be genuinely open to question from all constituents and all my dealings will be transparent. I recognise that many people lose interest in the game, as they feel that their voices are not being listened to. I shall strive to listen, fairly and objectively, to all that choose to speak to me. I can't promise that I will always agree but I can promise that your views will be taken seriously.

I'm a pretty friendly kind of guy. I'm approachable, intelligent, articulate and diplomatic. I'm unfailingly modest and relatively sane. 🙂
