Firstly, i would like to thank the USWP for allowing me, a member of the Socialist Freedom Party, to run for congress under their banner.

A few things about me:
I started playing eRep in Dioist Pakistan back in beta, but quit soon after V1 started. I revived in August 2009, and moved to eGreece where i'm from IRL. I stayed there for more than a year, co-founded the largest eGreek leftist party (and #3 in a country during my time), and helped run its communes and organizations for months.
When I got tired of playing there, I came to the eUS. I joined ST6 for a couple of months in May, and moved permanently to the eUS in September, got citizenship, and joined the Airborne. I was in USWP for a while, but since my beliefs are closer to the SFP, and there wasnt much i could offer to USWP, i joined SFP and i've been a member of it for a few months. During my time in eGreece, I served in congress for four terms, so I have some experience on how it works, and how you can screw up.

I firmly believe in educated, platform-based voting, so here is my stance on some of the major issues we are facing:

On Retention:
eRepublik has been losing members for a while. Older players grow tired or have to deal with RL, and newer ones quit, confused or not seeing the point in the game. We very recently saw a new wave of articles complaining to Admins about the game's state and threatening to quit. While their points are right, the ones who remain have to do our best to help and keep younger players, because the strength of a country is determined by its population.
If elected, I pledge to do my part by frequently messaging the players in my region and encouraging them to sign up on the eUS forums, get involved in parties, and join the eUS Military. These player-created institutions drive our community and help everyone to remain interested in the game and learn how to play it better. If the issue arises, I will support initiatives to increase the numbers of our citizens and retention.

Help keep players who could potentially look like this keep playing

Economy:
I study economics in NYC in RL, and being a fairly old player, I have a good undestanding of how the economic module works. I used to run party companies in greece, and still play in the Monetary Market frequently. So you can be sure that I understand how the state gets money from taxes, how it behaves in the MM, how the budget is formed etc. I believe in the high income taxes that we currently use, because they help the eUS govenrment run its programmes and support active players with Meals on Wheels and similar initiatives.
Given the recent change on companies, we need to get better at targeting those owning multiple companies, since by working as managers, they pay zero income taxes (no salary paid and company profits are typically transfered through MM). The only way to do this is sadly to raise VAT.

Military:
there has been a lot of discussion lately on the military and the lack of accountabilty and openess. i fully agree with the already passed bill to place a few limits and controls on how mil and JCS works and want a better understanding between the legislature (congress) that gives the mandate and the Military.
I dont believe in militias. I think they only make things more complicated, and often raise questions on how the money is spent. I do not support funding militias (except ST6, which is a rather special case). To be honest I never really understood why people who form militias dont just join the eUS military instead.

the military never looked better

Foreign Policy:
I like to remain aware of international events. The new global state of affairs is apparent; it is spain/poland/hungary/serbia vs the world, and i support alliances that will help us keep our regions safe from invasion and create an opposing pole to NWO. To do this, we must go past old and petty rivalries. For example our alliance with Russia, while it initially seems confusing in the end keeps our eastern borders safe from harm. So does friendship with indonesia and eUK. We shouldn't keep grudges against countries when the reasons that created friction between us are no longer there.

It helps when you think of Russian women like this

Well, thats about it. Thanks for reading my article. Hell, thanks even if you just looked at the pictures. I hope you vote for me if you're in Southeast of Ireland! If you are so fascinated by me that you want to move there to vote for me, pm me and i'll provide you with tickets and food for wellness recovery.
