Rumour : Preditorian To Launch Legal Action

After the events of the last several days, there's suddenly a new murmur going around. We've been told that Preditorian is apparently planning to attempt to take real life legal action against a eAustralian citizen. This alleged threat to take real life legal action started the rounds yesterday.
Two names have been brought forward in this. It'll come as no surprise that I'm mentioned. This is a result of actions taken of Pred in the senate forum in which I called a abuse of power. Icey is the other person mentioned (I'm unaware of the reasons why & would only be guessing). Anyway as had been said in talks about this topic, Preditorian would have to establish certain damages to bring a claim forward & he's unlikely to be capable of doing that.

No doubt we can't at this stage verify the validity of the claim of alleged planned RL legal action by Preditorian however it sets the scene of troubling times ahead (even thou if the murmurs are accurate, any solicitor would tell anybody wanting to start such action to grow up).

lol.. I'm no lawyer but I'm married to one and any such action would be laughed out of court.
You need to settle down a bit with the victimhood thing, AW. You're familiar with the concept of a news cycle. By crying indignant wolf so often you keep these issues current and in conversation. Try just once letting the storm blow over. Tempers will cool and people's 5 minute internet memory will move on to the next saga in the soapie that is eAus politics.
If anyone in RL began a legal action against goings on here or on IRC then good luck to them - they clearly have more time, money and energy than sanity, and the courts would respond appropriately.
@DA : You don't actually believe I'm concerned about this. Let me put it like this. Lets suppose that the murmurs are accurate & legal action was taken. All I'd need to do is to show the many allegations that he's made (eg terrorist, felon etc) against myself & others.
Even if the murmur is accurate & it's against Icey, such material would still be presentable.

But seriously, regardless of whether it's a serious attempted action or just some drunken yobbo pub talk, it's not going anywhere.
One has to wonder why such a rumour would even exist. It's either a testament to the 'quality' of person who is threatening the legal action, or if the rumour is untrue, the quality of person who made it up.
But legal action over an online game? The idea is absurd. You can't possibly defame a person on the internet in any meaningful way without something drastic, like compromising pictures or some such.

This all sounds interesting. As started before, the "Old Crew" is losing power and they are fearful of a total take over.
It is unfortunate that they cannot work with "us" on new and innovative ideas. "They" seem to be often caught in a tangled mess of temporary and permanent bans for some reason or another. And if they are not banned then they are rallying the troops to help support a cheat. lol... when they are not doing that they are banning people where their power allows them to.
"They" are often found degrading people and being 100% counter productive. It is sad that we even have to waste the time to comment about them like this. The only reason I care to comment is to point out that is black and white with the "Old Crew."
Please do not confuse the duties that "they" do accomplish as great bodies of work. It is the work that they are expected to do at their positions and many others through all of the eWorld accomplish every day as a minimum.

What the heck are these people saying? lol... I assume it is very common knowledge that I am an American. I guess Pred would have to come here to file legal action. 🙂 NY is a wonderful place to visit and an even better place to live! 🙂
As strange as this article sounds and is, AW has come up with other crazy things that all panned out to be true. I will be following the article and I will let you know if I am severed with any RL papers for court. 🙂

But as I said it's a murmur going around that nodoubt started from some comment that was most likely the drunken pubtalk that goes around.

AW was banned from the forums by Broad and Pred, at least that was the report and it was not denied. I was not there, but neither Pred or Braod deny doing it.

Icey he was not banned, he was removed from the Senator group for 12 hours.
Nor is Pred one of the "old Guard", if you insist on segregating us. You were talking about two different things (an in game ban and a forum "Block") to intentionally deceive the public. I refuse to reply to any more of your posts.

It is obvious that there is bad blood between plenty of people here. most notably AW & Icey vs Pred, Br0ad, cal etc.

I don't know how much you actually know but do you understand how obsered a RL libel act would be considering there can be "NO PROOF" of defamation of character since we use online avaters.
