Hello there.
For those who know me,you will know most of my articles are just for fun and a laugh.
However since i became commander of the Royal Navy,i have decided that the best course for the RN would to become a member of the Armed Forces Group.Not a decision taken lightly,indeed i messaged our sailors to ask their opinion before i finally committed the RN.
This it seems is not good enough for some people,they say my message is bias towards joining the AMG.
With that in mind and to put this to bed once and for all,i invite all our sailors to vote one way or the other

NO to stay UKPP

What I am most disturbed by is the UKPP/NE only cabinet.
Cabinets should be with the most qualified people, regardless of party.
I'll be seen as picking sides but i agree. For the love of the game do not rule out some brilliant people because of their party. I would say the same if this was proposed by another other candidate.
I like the idea of party only cabinets. It's their vested interests, and before Talon came along with this idea it was the norm. By the way I think it was a good thing when talon came up with it. But time for a change perhaps. You do not see a Labour chancellor in our coalition cabinet in real life UK do you?
No, because putting unqualified people in positions just because they are in a party hurts the entire country.
Who says they're unqualified? I'm sure any of the Top 5 parties have enough experienced people in them to run a country. Despite what some might have you believe.
Even if all the people suggested are qualified, it still isnt good to exclude people. Having different opinions leads to ideas that are mixed. People from all parties have good ideas. If you claim that the only good ideas come out of UKPP and NE, then I can't argue with you. You can't reason with unreasonable people.
This assumes that UKPP and NE have ALL the answers in the world, that thy are infallible, and can do no wrong.
And even assuming that insane fallacy, having a partisan cabinet will only drive our country apart. Silencing more than half of the eUK for a month will deepen the divisions within our country.
And what GOOD would this do? It would just serve to fire up the egos of the UKPP and NR leadership.
P.S. real life governments don't have just people on one side either.
I hope I'm not being unreasonable to you GC. Well nobody has all the answers. It's not personally an approach I'd use either if it was me running. But I can see their right to do it. Whether its moral or not I guess isn't the issue I'm debating. I think we both have differing opinions so we will have to agree to disagree.

Oh, if someone wins an election, anything that isn't illegal I suppose they CAN do.
However, I don't think doing this will help the UK at all, it will hurt it.
It was worse in the context that Garth (a very qualified person) was immediately dismissed because he was UKRP. There appears to have been no analysis of whether Alfa was actually better.
It was just "oh, he's UKRP, so we can't have him"
It's that attitude that I see as awful
As long as they abide by eRep's ToC they can do as they please. No where in the laws of eRep does it say ministries are needed nor does it say the best man for the job must get it. For months when I first started it was very much 'job for the boys' cabinets You know the best way to protest against such a thing? Vote against it come election time...
Oh, of course it isn't illegal. PTO'ing isn't illegal, after all. However, just because you can do it does not mean you should.

If the TUP was in power and gave all the positions to their friends then I would personally accept it. Except for the UKPP's raise in power in the past 12 months, the winning party picking a cabinet full of their friends was pretty much the norm...
And to be honest, the general distrust and hostility between the two sets of parties means that picking the best candidates from the prople you get on with is probably going to see less distruption from internal cabinet arguing than not picking someone from the other side that individuals may or may not think is "superior" in some way. Gone is the time when only a couple of parties accounted for 90% plus of people with governing experience. Whoever wins the election, there is going to be at least one experienced player in each role (and maybe a less experienced player getting 'work experience')
But we have had cabinets for several months now where we have bipartisanism.
Ironically, BigAnt's cabinets were very even in terms of who worked in them. Having been in the Second term, I can tell you that forcing people across parties to work together leads to a better understanding of each other

Leveling up is done via experience, you get the same experience fighting with a Q7 as you do barehanded. It is better to give them Q7s because they will have a higher military rank.

unclemick has been at the helm not for long now and already the RN has collapsed into 2 sides... all the suppliers are against this move, including me. This was a half-assed decision to ban UKPP from the Royal Navy and it was enforced and announced almost overnight!
