Reward Offered for lost presumably cold dinner

When I started this game -as many of you know- It was with the sole intention of telling my husband to get off the #$%^@&* computer and come eat dinner. Some how within the first week I got a crash course in IRC, met the wonderful BenP and never looked back -lol dinner is probably still there waiting.

I know this is a social strategy game, and I was drawn to the social side, later the strategy interested me, first through economics and diplomacy but of course the war module that is becoming the increasing focus of the game.

This is a game with so much potential, yet I have watched my friends leave in droves -why? Because there is nothing holding them here anymore. They have experienced everything that strategy and game mechanics has to offer them and the only thing that kept them here was friendship -the social side of the game -the reason we all enjoy coming back everyday, the reason why we get so emotional and upset or angry with things. The reason any of us care.

There is only so much rubbish anyone can take, and there is only so much anyone should take. We used to have a reasonable balance in eAus -sure we would argue but all still laugh and joke at the end of it -even during, when things would begin to get extreme people would step in or back as the case may be and we would return to our state of equilibrium.

Before the return of WA we were a divided people, unified by a common goal -eAustralia. When this was given to us, we suddenly had to face the division within our community and it began to gnaw at us. rather than being the positive embracing culture we always had been, the little snips that would have been overlooked before became serious.

I have watched everything we all worked so hard to build be torn apart, I no longer message new citizens and tell them what a fabulous place this is to be. I have lost faith in our nation -not as a collection of regions and our ability to hold them, but as a people willing to put in the effort. -Yes there are always some, but even those now are involved in the bs.

I posted what I did to the IG and in the forums for two reasons

-firstly because we need to face this, deal with it so we can stand strong together like the nation we are. this game is about people and our interactions governed by a set of rules -over looking the people can only cause damage

-secondly -the gold thefts? which were used to alter the course of our nation to align with the views of someone who felt it was their eGod given right? were done throught the abuse of these rules I hold so dear.

To be honest, I don't really know why I bother doing this, some may say I am being selfish -if you knew what it cost me, you wouldn't

I think I do this because you all have a right to know, you all have the right to decide.

I know in the end, that people will stick their heads in the sand, latch onto a segue in a comment and the entire thing will end up missing the point -It is so much easier to do that than to face things

So hang this on my carcass when you have finished procrastinating, it will remind me not to care if I ever decide to bother with something again.
