Return of the South African Gold Party!

Day 1,153, 03:28 Published in South Africa South Africa by SAGP Communications Department
Greetings eSouth Africa

I’m very happy to announce that the South African Gold Party or SAGP for short, has been started up again on the 16th of January 2011. The SAGP has a proud history in eSA as the party of Presidents, Congressmen, Speakers of Congress and various ministers. We’re also a party of active members all working hard to better eSouth Africa, in both big and small ways. Whilst the South African Gold Party is focused on the economy, we believe that is only a part of making eSA strong, and do give attention to both the military, political and social aspects of the game as well!

What is the SAGP?

The core tenants of the SAGP are doing what is best for eSA and playing intelligently (and having fun!). As players we encourage our members to learn how to play this game to the best of their ability, so that they can get the most out of it. Not only does playing well help you as a player so that you can excel in the areas you are interested in, be they military, economics or politics, but it also helps eSA get stronger. We may be a small country, but we’re a proud one, and we punch WAY above our weight!

As a party we do what is best for eSA. Which really is at its core as simple as it sounds. We support eSA first, and the SAGP gains by the country succeeding. In the past we’ve often not run presidential candidates, despite being the biggest party, because the best candidate was in a different party and we supported him. We support good candidates for congress, both experienced players and new players (which doesn’t mean if you started yesterday we’ll support you into congress – you’ll need to show you are committed and keen and willing to work hard, every day, but if you do, we’ll support you all the way). We push to develop new players inside the party, with the skills they will need to take over major roles in the eSA government. In smaller ways it means we don’t cause or participate in public media fights that damage the country other than to try and end them. We don’t slate other political parties for our own gain. We don’t badger people into joining the SAGP but hope our way of playing the game and our form of politics attracts people to the party.

We have an economic focus, in that a strong economy leads to a strong country. If our citizens have more money, and our GDP increases, our government receive more taxes, which they can use on policies to strengthen our nation. These include things like funding the eSAAF, running recruitment programs, sponsoring Mama Africa’s Soup Kitchen, or the Ministry of Fun. Things that help not only to strengthen the country, but also help us to make new players feel welcome and hopefully to create a sustainable level of population growth.

Why should I join the SAGP?

For new players: At the SAGP we’ll help and encourage you to learn to play the game to best of your ability. This means teaching how to work at 100 wellness each day to make you attractive to the top business owners (who pay more!); how to make the most out of your money; how to get involved in the military or politics. We’ll support you whichever direction you want to grow your career (maybe not budding PTOer, but most other careers are good!). And we’ll support you, whether it’s with advice or funds when you start up your first company, with encouragement and supplies in the military and with votes to support your political aspirations!

For experienced players: We would like you to join with a collective of active players who are willing to commit their time, talents, effort and resources to bettering eSouth Africa. We want players who are willing to try new things and are willing to work with others to do more than we could alone. A lot of you have been members of the SAGP, either during its original existence after Alby created the party and Enoch led it from strength to strength (and I won’t forget a series of strong party leaders, RR, Karl Bauer and jaccil to name a few during my time) or else to its more recent incarnation as the SA Military Capitalist Party which became a reborn SAGP. You will remember the great things you can do with a party of active people, who are willing to put pride and ego aside and put country first. For players who haven’t been a part of this party beforehand, come join an active community of players who you can trust to work to build a stronger and better eSouth Africa, and who would appreciate your help to do it.

To end off I’d like to say I hope many of you are as excited as I am that the SAGP is back. I’d like to encourage everyone to consider the South African Gold Party as a future political home. I’ll admit we won’t make everyone happy, and we won’t strive to. But to a certain type of player I hope it will feel like returning home to something special. And I’d like to leave you with a simple thought:

“Working together, we can do more”

GO-4-GOLD!
