Restore Honor to America

Day 1,582, 17:28 Published in USA USA by Dokomo

Greetings everyone. I am writing this to announce my intentions to seek a Congressional Seat from Iowa this term. It is my belief that as a representative of the AMP, I can bring the dedication and ethics that we demand of our elected officials. I plan to serve as a watcher over the government in order to ensure we serve America's long term interests.

Our liberties we prize, and our rights we will maintain

My impetus for running stems from the events of the past few days and weeks. The biggest news has been the ejection of Chile from TERRA and the continued Bulgaria-Turkey infighting. These events are worrisome for the long term stability of our dual alliances and the first must be repaired lest they widen. The path to doing so is to be forthright and fair in our dealings with our fellow nations.

One handshake can do more than a thousand bazookas.

In years past, the United States stood as a beacon of freedom and liberty to the world. We stood against the depredations of PEACE and Phoenix as they ran rampant through the world. We brought liberation to India, China, and culminated in the Three Pillars campaign. And when we were met with betrayal we meted out punishment in kind. Other nations knew where America stood and knew they had a steadfast ally in her.

The wrath and fury of America

We need to return to those days when we held fast and strong with our allies. Our bonds of friendship is what makes us strong; it is what has made our alliances last these long years. Our goal of defeating ONE cannot be met unless we stand strong together instead of chasing the nation that will "do the most for us now". These short term boosts do not match the strength that we gain from following our values and building bonds of friendship that cannot be broken by the ravages of time.

As your Congressman from Iowa, I pledge that I will work to ensure the President and his team keep their eyes on the long term goals. That we take into account the mood of the nation and not the fickle numbers game. That we always think first of our allies as friends and not as assets.

Thank you.
