Resource Wars: How does it work? How can you help?

These Resource Wars are crazy, aren't they? Well from what I've discovered, most people don't know because most people don't understand how the event works. The fact that the eRep team has not provided any "simple" explanations for how it works has made it nearly impossible to interpret for some people. With this article I will try to explain to you, eUSA, and any others reading, how this event works and how you can help eUSA in our efforts to get max bonuses.

Resource Placement

Resources of the same rarity in an industry can only be placed outside of a certain range of each other. The rarer the resource, the further away they have to be from each other.

Four resources can be placed on one region. This is important since including national bonuses, regional bonuses are also going to be a thing. You will be able to place your companies in specific regions and their total bonuses will be representative of the total bonuses of the nation they are in added to the total bonuses of the region they are in.

Countries are limited to number of resources equivalent to the amount of core regions of a country. If a country has less than 4 core regions they are limited to four resources total.

Domination Points and Tokens

For a nation to acquire a resource they must acquire a token. A nation acquires a token. A nation gains one token after it gains 30,000 domination points.

Domination points are something we are all familiar with. They are the points that a nation acquires when they have the "wall" in a battle. You need about 1800 of these points in order to win a division.

A nation also needs to prioritize a resource in a specified region via the Resource Wars tab in the my country page.

If a resource is available, the first nation that earns a token and has the resource prioritized earns the resource.

If there is no resource available, or the available resource is not prioritized, a token is discarded and never to be seen again. Tokens can NOT be saved. Earning a resource is a matter of speed and luck, not choice.

Helping eUSA

Now that you know how it works, maybe you want to know how you can help?

#1. Check your DoD orders. We try to keep these up to date. Members of the defense team shout the current orders on their friends feed. NSC CO-Chair Yui MHCP001 is very active in the shouting of orders, I suggest adding him and checking your friends feed periodically 🙂

#2. Report to #ResourceWars on Rizon IRC. If you are familiar with IRC, eUSA has a room there open to all citizens wishing to help coordinate their damage with us so that we can work together to acquire full bonuses for the country. #3. Read this. Maybe you don't want to help eUSA out of the bottom of your heart, but you may want supplies. Those that report to #ResourceWars in IRC and help coordinate their damage during this event will be offered supplies to compensate them for their effort. When patriotism fails, free stuff will succeed, am I right?

We need people of all divisions and any strength level to help us out. Don't think you're too new to make a difference, every single one of you will make a difference in helping your country do well in this event.

Getting resources is a matter of controlling and coordinating the amount of domination points we receive, and we can only do that if our fighters are willing to communicate and coordinate with us.

Most importantly, just keep yourself in the loop. Report to IRC, read the DoD orders, and fight by those orders. Together we can make the best out of this event for our country.
