Reprinting: UK Attacks, Helping our Allies

Day 791, 12:49 Published in USA Bulgaria by Jewitt

This is a reprint of a previous article which violated certain aspects of eRepublik Law. It is unbecoming of an elected leader and for that I have to say: Yup, get over it.

19 January, 2009, Day 791 of the New World - Babybooms, hospitals, the wars around the globe, and wait a minute - inbox spam? Let's address all of this and some more! If you have any questions, by all means, speak with my secretary.

Debate: How to Keep New Players

BabyBoom efforts all abound, and there are quite a few brainstorming sessions being held on the eUS Forums. Many suggestions have come about, and to me the most interesting is a recommendation to use Facebook Ads as an alternative to buying gold, which gives a very good case.

Another topic was brought up in some article about heresy, and was quickly responded to by former Vice President Woxan. Again, new ideas are popping up all over the place.

Is it just me, or does the baby on the right look like he's having more fun?

So, what should we truly be doing? Should we focus on building some hospitals to trick players into staying? Should we start a random battle somewhere, and hope for the best? Should we just browse YouTube channels and occasionally troll the media? What ever it is, sign up at the eUS Forums and make your opinion known!

The Cost of Helping Our Allies

Someone in Phoenix having a hernia.

Through our efforts in Poland, France, and Greece, our great nation and her allies have obtained victories that just months ago seemed impossible. However, they have come at a cost. At home, we're essentially isolated and bored. We have occasional "training wars" in the Greece v. Turkey war, but that is it. Sometimes that is not even regular, and the inboxes of politicos get filled with "We need a battle!" messages. We saw this today, and was a grim reminder of what some of our other allies have been going through.

For the betterment of the alliance, and our obvious victories, the United States has remained idle. Will we maintain this stance for the rest of my Presidency? Unlikely. Will it be on the United Kingdom? Hungary? Serbia? I can't say, my advisers can't say, and not even EDEN knows. The world is changing. Just three months ago nations were occupied by the internally-bleeding PEACE Global Community. Now we face a new enemy, not as expansive but just as strong. Saarland was won by our efforts. France was secured, Germany collapsed. Greece and Israel have maintained their freedom. China is fully armed and is making maneuvers to reclaim the rest of her land. We have won so much, but see so little at home.

This isn't the kind of victory we're looking for!

I just ask that all Americans hold tight and prepare, because sooner or later the United States will enter the wars directly once more. As a little bit of a prenup, I will make a recommendation: Buy guns now, when they're cheap. Cash in your gold for USD - training can wait if you're not a Field Marshal yet. Focus on gaining rank, focusing on saving higher quality weapons for a larger fight. Focus on America's victory.

Under my first term, we saw the first United States offensive victory in our history, and with it came the collapse of two of the three most well defended colonies on the globe. We are a ticking time bomb, and if citizen opinion is anything, we may make this second month just the same.

UK's Weapon of War: Spamming

Nation, a week ago the Joint of Chiefs of Staff, and my personal secretary, notified me that this nation was preemptively attacked by the United Kingdom. Yet, there were no battle updates on the front page. Curious, I looked in my inbox and found myself amaze😛 93 unread messages. I am quite used to coming home after a class for an hour and seeing up to 20 unread messages, but this was astronomical.

LiveFreeOrDie, Technology Department, looks into this newfound weapon's origin.

The British apparently have researched, developed, and deployed a new weapon of mass destruction: Inbox spamming on an extensive scale. So, how do we respond? Since no defenses currently exist against this weapon (Note to self: Technology Department should begin working on a "Spam Folder"), we can only respond in like fashion. Unfortunately, I received a warning and a deletion of my previous article for suggestive harassment. Therefore, I ask that no one excessively spam our foreign counterparts - instead we shall meet them on the field in due time.

» It is your duty to vote and subscribe to the White House Press Room. Why? Because I said so.

» I highly encourage everyone to send messages to our foreign leaders thanking them for their efforts. Please keep them PG13 and tasteful.
