Reasoning behind the US Invasion of Japan

The following is a transcript of an article posted by my friend Gaius Julius posted in the USA regarding the reasoning behind the US invasion of Japan. A large amount of propaganda has been circulating against this invasion, calling the US imperialist and whatnot, however this nonfactual Phoenix spam is merely an attempt to sway the opinion of the allies against this necessitate step.

After discussing the misinformation being spread around on irc, Gaius suggested that i publish this article in Canada to spread the truth regarding this invasion. The idea is to get as many people to see it as possible so please vote it up to help spread the correct facts!

So without further adieu i will turn the virtual microphone over to Gaius to explain our ally's actions.

I lol'd that the first reaction from people was "ZOMG WTF JEEPERS CREEPERS THE US IS EVIL AND IMPERIALISTIC". People like Arjay Phonecian did a superb job of taking absolutely every piece of factual information and making it into a abhorrent mess of an article. So lets go over some basic facts.

Jewitt is a liar, imperialist etc etc blah blah:
This plan has nothing to do with Jewitt, in fact he did not know about it till I explained it to him last night. The current plan we are enacting was drafted during my first term as President. At the time it was kind of a pipe dream, we watched to see if Hungary+Indo would renew with Japan and whether we would get a shot at them. It didn't happen, so we tucked away the plans in the "maybe next time folder" and went on our happy way of liberating Canada. Around the time I was leaving the presidency these plans came up again, so we started to talk some more.
The one catch in our plan was Japan, they are the door keeper to Asia, once we were in the possibilities were endless. Problem is Japan wouldn't swap. So once again we shelved the plans for a while, content with defending our allies. However as the end of the Hungarian MPP approached we started to reconsider the plan. For the past week we have been preparing carefully, moving troops, organizing deployments, all for this. Frankly Jewitt was just the poor sap who had to be President when the button needed to be pushed. If Josh Frost had won he was very happy to go along with this plan.

Japan is a "Righteous" nation:
There are a couple of expletives to describe the sheer stupidity of this comment. In fact I am of the opinion that Japan is an indirect if not direct culprit in the attempted submission of the Croatian, Malaysian, Finnish, US, Chinese and Indian citizens. As I said above Japan is the doorway to Asia, they are well aware of this fact. They know the US has intention to return China its rightful regions and to help India. However they are happy to sit safely away from world affairs, while Phoenix uses the profits extracted from Asia to fund wars of conquest. I am tired of watching my friends in Croatia deal with Phoenix tanks funded by the profits from Hello Kitty. It's either us or them and I would do anything for our allies.Tell me how can Japan be considered righteous, while they knowingly ignore the crimes committed thanks to the control of their neighbors regions? If that's righteousness I must be a saint.

Nice guys dont finish last
Every other country that has gone into Asia, Russia, Indo, Romania, Hungary and Iran. Did it for their own personal gains. As shown by China's cooperation with us, we are not doing this for ourselves. We are doing this for those who have stood oppressed for too long. I'm tired of hearing from allies in Asia about how Indo walked out on talks to return regions or how Russia was threatening countries. If this campaign was solely about exerting US military superiority I never would have even recommended it.

So too bad Japan you guys had a chance to be the nice guys who saved Asia from Phoenix, who graciously traded a region for two days so your Asian brothers wouldn't feel the yoke of oppression. You failed and now its the US's turn, let Operation Wakka Wakka commence.
