RE: Treasury theft & Re-shuffle

Day 2,427, 11:32 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by ArgoFookYourself

I’m speaking today as a concerned Citizen of the eUK following the most recent treasury theft.

Many of you may have lost count of the number of treasury thefts that have plagued the eUK of late, I am in-fact unsure how many we have had since Chewchewshoe robbed us blind a number of months back.

What worries me most this time is the position from which I have viewed it. In the past there have been a number of factors such as unchanged passwords and unscrupulous activity that make it hard to see who could have stolen the money, despite admins being ticketed we rarely get any answer anyway.

This time round it is different.

All the org passwords were changed at the start of the term, as they were the previous term. So only people with access to the MoF spreadsheet called “The Books” can see the passwords for all of these orgs. This term 5 of us have access. And they are as follows:

BigAnt- as our CP he can request to change the passwords, and has the right to do with their contents as he pleases.

Huey - Our MoF

Alan - dMoF

Myself - dMoF

and SirRex new dMoF this term

Firstly I will say that I am certain beyond reasonable doubt that myself, Huey and Alan have not stolen from the Orgs. I know I haven't, and I trust Huey and Alan; not only from a personal perspective of trust but from the fact, we all know that being caught stealing is a bannable offence and to do so is just stupid.

So this only leaves BigAnt and SirRex.

Nothing personal to SirRex but I don't know why he was appointed dMoF, in my view 2 deputies are sufficient and as a team we had worked well the previous term... until Appleby's “theft” (which i will extrapolate upon later).

I Genuinley do not know if he would have stolen from the orgs but given the money from his communist org has gone I suspect him less than the final suspect.

Who is BigAnt.

Not only has money gone missing but passwords have changed making some orgs inaccessible. Which as Huey and alan know nothing of this would suggest it was likely our President.

Facts are as follows:

There was a CP backed push to move more CC to the orgs for fishing to make what is currently an incredibly small profit (0.5cc/100cc every 10days at market rates)

Passwords have been changed

The player who recently started an impeachment attempt has been made MoF

The reshuffle has removed many more mainstream players from the cabinet in favour of unknowns.

The latter two being the most concerning of all.
At this point in the term BigAnt hasn't done enough wrong to warrant an impeachment, He has spent a little recklessly however nothing that is unrecoverable. Questions raised over the national MU have yet to be answered but few would vote to impeach (especially given the Vendetta TUP near majority in congress.
This impeachment attempt cemented BigAnts presidency for the next 7 days making him untouchable. Orchestrated well this has given him a free rein to act unimpeded in whatever way he pleases.

Whilst this creates a speculative picture, the facts are that only 5 of us had access to the org passwords (MoD and empty newspaper publishing orgs aside)

It would have had to be one of us and this sudden play of events creates far more suspicion pointing to big ant than any other player with org access.

The man with the countries money

If no-one is banned we will have to assume it was him that took money from the treasury as he is the only one immune to bans from plato.

Many had their doubts, sadly many may well have been proved right.

Footnote- on Appleby’s “theft”

Hueys decisions over apple’s actions have been questioned and i want to set a few things straight.
As CP appleby was set up on our books to have any UK money on his account recorded, same with Huey.

When it was realised there were discrepancies between expected funds and actual funds, huey reacted by closing access to the orgs, he re moved access to the org passwords to myself and I presume alan whilst he audited to find what was missing. This was the right action to take to prevent further theft given that we had access and could have potentially been the culprits.

He spoke to appleby who confirmed he had the funds, and at the time was CP and within his remit to do so.
Whilst i haven't seen the conversation between the two I believe this is where Hueys responsibility as MoF ends, the funds were still within the establishment and the decision to return funds was appleby’s and appleby’s alone.

After this the reasons not to return the money are for everyone to judge as just or unjust. You can make up your own minds but I stand firmly behind his actions.

Votes and shouts appreciated
