Re-Elect LifesaverM for Libertarian PP

Day 845, 17:48 Published in USA USA by Indrae

Hello fellow Libertarians:

This months party president elections have turned out to be the most interesting elections we've had in a long time. In this election, we have not only the incumbent, LifesaverM running, but two other serious candidates. There is Syrup, who recently joined the party, and Claire Littleton, a former PP who has recently come back from a long break.

Each of these candidates brings something to the table. LifesaverM has done a tremendous job, and if elected, would most likely continue to pursue his goals for the Libertarian Party. Claire Littleton would like to see the common party member have more voice in how the party is run. Syrup's main running point is to improve relations with the USWP.

However, I myself see two main flaws in two of the candidates campaign goals.

In his mass mailing message to the party, Syrup stated that he would work toward improving our party's relationship with the USWP. However, he does not provide any details on how he would go
about doing this. Also, Syrup in his time in the party has not contributed that much to the party as a whole. Many of the past Party Presidents have served various roles in the party. To my knowledge, Syrup has not done this.

Claire Littleton's campaign article centered around her proposal to give more power to party members, and take it from what she believes is a dictatorial LPSC. She hasn't talked to or gotten to know the LPSC, and since she has recently returned to the game, does not know what state the party is in. Add in the fact that the LPSC is not all-powerful, and the willingness of some LPSC members to reform the constitution to benefit the common party member, and her argument holds little ground.

My personal support and vote will go to LifesaverM. He has proved that he is a capable Party President, and I have no doubt that he would continue to be great. For what it's worth, the LPSC endorses LSM.

However, in the end, your vote is your own. We will not order you to vote for either candidate. That is not how democracy is supposed to work.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
