Random Citizen Interviews

Day 2,293, 10:21 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Mimi.

Random Citizen Interviews is going to be based on interviewing and researching random citizens lives in the eWorld.

Today I am doing an interview with Georgiano Vimgani, a returning eRepublik player, also my long time friend.

Citizen : Georgiano Vimgani
Location : Hokkaido, Japan
Age : 21

Biography : Georgiano Vimgani was a two clicker at first like most people. He wasn't sure where to even begin but his friend, Dannie Bolden II, and he decided to look for a political party they could get involved in. They ended up joining the Democratic Party after speaking with some of its members. His friend eventually became party president and did a restructure of the party, during this time he served as Treasurer. Somewhere down the line he joined the Libertarian Party and was put up as a candidate for congress twice. Sadly he lost in both Georgia and New York, but he commended Cerb who was his competition at the time. Cerb was a good person for the job so he had no bad sentiment.

Georgiano eventually left politics and joined the eUS Training Division. Once he had sufficient strength, he immediately put in a request to transfer to the eUS Airborne. He ended up being promoted to Sgt and eventually 1Lt. It was a lot of work and kept him quite busy, trying to juggle both his Airborne responsibilities and real life. He ultimately decided to leave and started two clicking for a short while. Eventually he got an offer from a Serbian friend who urged him to join the White Eagles. He wasn't in it for long before he decided to leave eRepublik for good because of real life issues.

1. Angelico : I see you are a returning player, why did you leave and how long have you been gone?
Georgiano : I can't say how long I was gone for but I left eRepublik because of real life reasons. I had just graduated from high school and started university. All in all I wanted to focus on my studies.

2. Angelico : What brought you back to eRepublik?
Georgiano : Well, a friend urged me to come back. I was hesitant at first but once I stayed around for a few days I was interested in the eWorld once again after reading about all the things that had happened on the wiki while I was gone.

3. Angelico : Do you like the new changes to eRepublik, any old features you miss?
Georgiano : I was turned off from the new look at first, since I was so used to the old style, but I've since adjusted. There are a few things I miss that I noticed are now gone, newspaper advertisements probably being the top one. I'm also not a fan of the popups about battles and other things.

4. Angelico : What’s your opinion on the state of the eWorld and all of its current politics?
Georgiano : I can't really say since I'm for the most part a two clicker right now. From what I've read in news articles though, I don't like the state of things.

5. Angelico : How did you find out about eRepublik?
Georgiano : I was in Model United Nations in high school and my friend in my group told me about a game he had just found online called eRepublik and how it was a political simulator. We signed up at about the same time and it all started from there.

6. Angelico : What are your future plans on eRepublik?
Georgiano : Well, I didn't want to be involved in super power politics or anything with places like eUSA. I do however want to become active again and I had always planned to eventually settle down permanently in eJapan since my early days in eUS politics. I have a great cultural interest in Japan and I had heard that the eJapanese are much more relaxed and about fun. It seems I came back at a bad time for eJapan though. I applied for citizenship but they didn't have congress at the time due to the situation with eTaiwan and eUSA. I plan to do whatever I can to help eJapan get back on its feet though.

8. Angelico : My next news article is going to be based on things the admins could improve or add to eRepublik. Do you have any suggestions?
Georgiano : I want newspaper advertisements back, and global/country chat rooms would be nice to have back as well.

9. Angelico : Any other things you would like to say? Thank you for accepting this interview by the way.
Georgiano : Nothing, and you are welcome, good luck with your newspaper though!

Thank you again Georgiano Vimgani! I hope everyone likes the Random Citizen Interview series. Later today I will be making an article based on things the admins could improve or add to eRepublik. So, check back soon!
