rainy Welcomes KKK to the USA

Day 1,003, 01:22 Published in USA Netherlands by rainy sunday
Kurzemes Karalis Kristaps, former citizen of Latvia, new member of USA's own S.E.E.S., was kind enough to grant me a casual sit-down interview a few days ago. KKK is a well-experienced and highly successful New World citizen and I thoroughly enjoy learning the perspectives and background stories of citizens from around this world. Many thanks to KKK for sharing his time with me.

Enjoy our visit...

rainy: You are well-known internationally, successful in every arena, former Supreme Commander of Phoenix, why join the US?
KKK: Because my country is dying in-game and some prominent figures in S.E.E.S. asked me to come here. I thought it would be a cool idea, after all, I remember those people being really cool.

rainy: What goals do you have for your immediate future? Long-term?
KKK: I would like to run for congress just to get another medal in my profile. No real long-term plans, this game is getting on my nerves a bit, I rather not make any plans for the future as I could quit this game any second now.

rainy: What is your opinion of the recently announced and pending changes to V2 (rising) regarding housing effect, food consumption project, removal of the redeploy rule and other changes as covered in the EI?
KKK: I feel they are moving towards the right direction. All in all v2 seemed _VERY_ rushed out and thus being supershit and buggy. The formulae, both military and economically, were (and some still are) not even remotely balanced. Tanks killing everything is not a very balanced game, is it? Same goes for infantry/artillery being supershit. I really hope they will add more balance changes, but you can never know with "admin".

rainy: We've seen many citizens world-wide leave the game lately, along with them we lose a lot of experience, knowledge & history as well as potential battlefield damage. More than that, we lose teammates and good friends. Has the loss of active citizens influenced you?
KKK: Yes, this is one of the reasons why I left eLatvia. Most of my old friends have left the game, only a few of them left, furthermore, most active people in eLatvia have quit already. There are something like 3-5 knowledgeable and active people left who are ready to actually do something and work for their country which is far too little for a country of 2000 population in v2. Even the media are boring to read now, there are only some spam articles. My country is dead.

rainy: Can you explain Carebears? (I am also an honorary Carebear, but would like to share your perspective.)
KKK: Carebears was a for fun movement started by Ealendil/chukcha, from what I remember. There wasn't a real political background to it for me, I just wanted that avatar because it looked funny. I suppose you know I was a Carebear too?

rainy: Share your best eRep memory or proudest accomplishment?
KKK: There are some great accomplishments, I will try to list them in a chronological order:

- liberation of Latvia after the Finnish occupation

- getting Latvia in PEACE

- being PEACE war-games organizer and a PEACE/PHX emeritus afterwards

- conquering Helsinki for the first time

- becoming PHX SC

- almost single-handedly organizing the defense and liberation of Latvia from PHX forces

rainy: What do you enjoy most in the game now?
KKK: What do I enjoy most?

The social aspect of the game, I have met some really cool people here. The game has actually never been great, but the people were top-notch. A game like this attracts a lot of intelligent and politically conscious people that care about Real Life problems and conflicts and, more importantly, they mostly take information very critically - sorry, English is not my first language. Anyway, answer to this question definitely is the people. Without the cool people, this game would be down the drain in no time.

rainy: Anything else you would like to say?
KKK: ALL HAIL THE KKK

rainy:Welcome to the US, Kurzemes Karalis Kristaps , and best of luck in your future endeavors.
