Radio Free Austria Signs Off

The speakers had been silent for months. The cobwebs and dust on the monitors was thick from neglect. It surprised many when the speakers roared to life with static.

"Hello Austria" was the first words after the cacophony of white noise, but it wasn't the old time charismatic voice of Von Doom, once proud proprietor of Amalgamated Austria Inc, Congressman and future leader of eAustria, it was a monotone blurb, a pre-recorded statement.

The voice continued.

"It is with great regret and great pleasure that I, Von Doom, speak to you today. After several months without contact and an abrupt departure that few will understand (OOC: I don't typically talk about RL issues online so this is as good as it gets as far as an explanation goes - sorry) I am pleased to see that Austria First has carried on our initial mission and has indeed set foot on the path to change and security in eAustria. I would like to hope that some of those few initial cornerstones that I set had some small part to do with its recent successes, although I can not take any credit for it.

And, it is with great regret that I log on today simply to liquidate my assets, donate my last remaining resources to Austria First and provide the peoples of eAustria with what goods my companies have remaining in storage at near free prices. These are my last gifts to you, my adopted comrades.

And with that the recording goes to static and the speakers go silent one final time.
