Quiet Revolution
nick.bergman
A revolution doesn't begin at the epitome they are often remembered for. The American revolution didn't begin with the Declaration of Independence, nor did the French revolution begin with the Declaration of Man and of the Citizen. A revolution does not start with the battle cry or the call for justice and equality. It does not start at the end of a gun. It starts quietly in the hearts and minds of the idealist, the disenfranchised, and the exploited. It begins with an injustice, and abuse of power. It starts with the prostitution of our rights and of our ideals.
It begins quietly in those who feel their values, their rights, and there beliefs have been desecrated. It starts with corruption and gross misuses of power. These things do not creep up, but rather linger and grow due to ego's of the power hungry. "The evil that is in the world almost always comes of ignorance, and good intentions may do as much harm as malevolence if they lack understanding." A revolution heads towards it's pinnacle when enough people with common ground recognize they are no longer valued as contributing members.
If your quiet revolution has begun then join the SFP in the fight for idealistic values the can make the eUS the envy and the unifying country of beliefs and ideals that everyone can hold dear. Start your quiet revolution today and "Stand Firm People". "True Americanism is practical idealism. Its aims, instead of being materialistic and mechanical, are idealistic to the point of being Utopian. In this way, the U.S. can provide and express ideals that strike a chord in humans everywhere - a declaration of independence on behalf of all the peoples of the world."

One of my favorite JFK quotes:
"Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer, but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past. Let us accept our own responsibility for the future."
John F. Kennedy
He had a lot of great ideas
One of my two favorite US Presidents. They are like bookends as the other is Teddy Roosevelt. The one trait they both had that I admire was saying exactly what they meant without regard for others opinions.
Teddy Roosevelt was a wolf in sheep's clothing. While he was elected due to his military past and perceptions of what he would be. He turned out to be nothing more than another progressive that snaked their way into office in order to impose a harmful agenda on the country. I admire what he did with the Rough Riders, but the country would have been better off without him being president. Just the same way the US would have been a lot better off today had his cousin FDR never been elected. Progressives make terrible presidents. Just look at the progressive mistake and poor imitation of a President who has the White House occupied presently.
The New Deal was possibly the worst social reform ever, the Affordable Care Act is a close second. While Teddy's Square Deal wasn't perfect it did address excesses of big business.
FWIW there has never been a perfect president and never will.
True, as long as we elect humans they will always be faulted. The best way to describe our election system is we go into a booth and are presented with 2 and in some cases more, bags of shit. You then have to smell each bag deeply. After all that, you pull the lever and vote for the one that made you feel the least sick.

Judging by this articles purpose, and your political affiliations, are you suggesting that we should start a Revolution in the name of Socialism (eventually communism if we wanna go that far.) because if so, then I would rather just have a dictator.
Oh please. Nobody wants to be you.

assumptions are as good as guessing.
Jeeze, guys. Don't give a new player an educational response, or anything.
The United States, as it stands, is already very much a socialized state, as are most countries. The major portion of the work force operates within communes.
This article has less to do with economic systems than it does social ideals.
LOL @PQ
