Q1 rocket prices around the world (day 1768)

Day 1,768, 19:49 Published in Canada Germany by barneyg

This is going to be a weekly installment into weapon prices around the world. Some other resources are better for hunting the lowest prices but I wanted to get a feel for where the cheapest overall markets are and thought I might as well share the results. I'll eventually have a time series to figure out how prices are affected by bonuses, population and tax rates.

My weapon prices index is simply the cost for a Q1 rocket, i.e. 10 each of Q1-Q6 plus 100 CC for rocket construction. Therefore it automatically gives greater weight to Q6 weapons; a country with cheap Q6 weapons will do better than one with super cheap Q1. I might eventually construct an index that weighs each weapons category equally (including Q7) but this is where I start.

I have data for all 39 countries with more than 1000 active citizens according to here.

Lowest Q1 rocket prices around the world
1. France 328.10
2. Greece 331.90
3. Slovenia 333.80
4. USA 334.30
5. Spain 335.10
6. Bosnia 339.10
7. China 339.70
8. Canada 340.50
9. Poland 340.90
10. FYROM 341.70

Looking to buy an extra licence? The following markets will give you the highest proceeds, after import and VAT taxes. However, don't forget that prices are probably high for a reason: the market may not be very active.

Highest proceeds from selling a Q1 rocket pack
(Countries with more than 1000 active citizens)
1. Paraguay 342.67
2. Peru 266.25
3. Ukraine 258.14
4. Taiwan 255.19
5. India 244.78
6. Venezuela 238.59
7. Bosnia 234.41
8. Finland 232.76
9. Turkey 232.43
10. Romania 230.74

Bosnia's on both lists because its taxes are the lowest in the world (1+1=2% total). Germany, Iran and Sweden made the bottom 10 of both lists (i.e. most expensive to buy from, and lowest proceeds if selling). Obviously, don't buy a selling licence from a market with a 99% import tax.
