Psychological warfare in eRepublic.

Ever since there is war in the world there has been some psychological warfare around as a tool to influence the outcome of the war at hand.
In the real world nations use pamphlets and make use of speaker systems to communicate with the enemy forces. The meaning of which would be to seed the seed of doubt amongst enemy forces or to give them disinformation.

In eRepublic we have other tools at our disposal. There are the various IRC channels, the newspapers that can be used as pamphlets and last but not least the country forums where everybody can read and write information. Therefore forums are an excellent tool for propaganda.

Before I give you an excellent example of psychological warfare between eBelgium and eNetherlands I like you to look at the following definition.

“Propaganda is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of large numbers of people. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. Psychological warfare between eBelgium and eNetharlands.



Ever since I joined eBelgium on day 1067 and been active on the forum of eBelgium I could read thoughts about either merging with eNetherlands or attacking eNetherlands.
Lately two Gentlemen have used this topic on the forum for a form of psychological warfare. Both Trinc and shadowukcs are masters in this discipline. They both have made use of the forum and their newspaper to scare and influence the people of both eBelgium and eNetherlands.




Trinc is saying that when he looked at the forum of eBelgium he found out that the people of Belgium were seriously thinking about taking advantage of the war between ePoland and the eNetherlands. While he is at it he accuses shadowukcs of being the ring leader with some support from a few other members of eBelgium.

In response to the article from Trinc, shadowukcs decided he needed some propaganda of his own. He is taunting the Netherlands in his response. Saying that they are, like usual, way to arrogant for their own wellbeing and taking some of the facts to point out that they are stupid when even thinking about war against Belgium. I’m not going to translate those two articles in English but if you put them through google translate or bablefish or whatever you should get a better perception on what these gentleman are doing
