Protectors of Nations: Practical Guide

Day 5,036, 08:05 Published in Canada Canada by Mann551

Here I will lay out everything I know and understand about the Protectors of Nations update that was implemented. I will attempt to phrase it in a more clear and concise way, explaining in short without all the words and confusion.

How did I get these protector points to start?

It was based on your rank points for ground. If you didn't reach Legend, than your rank points were converted straight into protector points for your citizenship county.

If you were a Legend, your Legend rank was converted based on which country that Legend rank was for. So if I was Legend XII before the update, with 10 of those Legend ranks from Canada and 2 from the USA, then my ground protector ranks ended up going most to Canada, bringing me to Protector rank 40/50, while 20,000,000,000 protector points were given to me in the USA.

In the air, your protector rank was given based on your rank points to your citizenship country.

Protector ranks will give you bonuses when fighting for that country, so long as a vehicle is deployed.

How do I get protector points for a country

You will earn 10% of damage dealt as protector points for the country of your citizenship if you have a vehicle deployed for that country and fight for that country.

You will earn 4% of damage dealt as protector points for the an allied country (MPP of your citizenship country) if you have a vehicle deployed for that country and fight for that country. In our case, this would include Estonia.

You will earn 2% of damage dealt as protector points for any other country as long as you have a vehicle deployed and fight for that country.

You will earn 1% of damage dealt as protector points for any country if you do not have a vehicle deployed and fight for that country. As well, if you hit the maximum protector level for any given country, fighting more for that country will produce 1% of damage dealt as universal protector points, which can be assigned to a specific country.

Example

I am a citizen of Canada. Canada has an MPP with Estonia. I have a vehicle deployed in the ground for Canada, Estonia, and Argentina.

If I do 100,000,000 damage for Canada, I will receive 10,000,000 protector points for Canada, because it is my citizenship country.

If I do 100,000,000 damage for Estonia, I will receive 4,000,000 protector points for Estonia, because they are an allied country.

If I do 100,000,000 damage for Argentina, I will receive 2,000,000 protector points for Argentina, because they are not an allied country, but I still have a vehicle deployed.

If I do 100,000,000 damage for Ireland, I will receive 1,000,000 protector points for Ireland, because I didn't have a vehicle deployed for them.

Bonuses

If you have protector points in Canada on the ground worth 50% damage bonus, you must have a vehicle deployed for Canada to use that bonus damage. No vehicle deployed means no bonus damage is given. As well, it will impact your ability to collect protector points, cutting the amount you receive at least in half, but up to 10x less points if you are a citizen of Canada.

The same goes for air. You must have an air vehicle deployed in order to use bonus damage and it will allow you to earn protector points more quickly.

How to Assign Universal Rank Points

First you'll want to go into your garage, choose a vehicle and assign it to a country. This is the white arrow on the left side of the picture above. You'll then want to hit the green "+" button on the right side, where the white arrow is pointing to on the right side of the picture above. This will bring up a pop up like pictured below

From here you can see all of your unassigned universal protector points that are available to you, and if you have them available, you can assign them by moving the slider over and then hitting the add button.

Vehicle deployment

If you want to use and earn bonuses in the ground, you must have a ground vehicle deployed. Likewise, if you want to use and earn bonuses in the air, you must have an air vehicle deployed. You do not need to have both ground and air vehicles deployed to receive a bonus.

For example, if you only want ground bonuses in Canada, you can simply deploy a ground vehicle. You do not need to deploy a ground and air vehicle in Canada if you do not want to use and earn bonuses in both ground and air.

Be careful with how you deploy your vehicles. Once deployed, you need a vehicle discharge document token to undeploy them. So far, you can only get one of these tokens from completing the mission that was added today.
