Proposal tutoring newcomers and aid programs.
Jarabe de Patu
I start from the assumption that I do not know perfectly the dynamics of the game and even less the political / social dynamics in eBelgium simply cause i'm new here.
But I want to learn to be able to contribute through the difficulties that I encountered when I was an Italian citizen and partly now.
I hope this will earn me a seat in the congress, and this requirement of mine is pure refusal to play passively 🙂
My proposal has no political character, open to all without discrimination and the help of all can only bring benefits to the one thing that makes us all agree: the well-being and growth of the eBelgium. 🙂
All because I firmly believe in one thing: if the game itself does not give you interest(because there is not much to do for example) and therefore end up in the monotonous 2click(with subsequent death), then you have to invent it.
Try to see it as "creating jobs",cause i think we all agree that if we have something to do or a responsibility, we are all more motivated / interested / curious / resourceful.
My idea is to create a single institution that mainly manages 2 things:
1) the mentoring/tutoring of all newcomers
2) the management of the all various aid programs
1) Create a module/test(based on their level/playing influence, therefore gradual) with questions on game dynamics (and therefore speed up their general knowledge) and small missions with symbolic prizes that will serve as a stimulus to be more interested and to reward the time to read the various guides on the web (which I would like to group in a single index to be easier to find). In the end issue a kind of "diploma" that allows you to join a party of your choice.
2)Group all public and private aid programs(😉
to give a single point of reference.
-Public aid programs: open to all (as BHP / BAF)
-Private aid programs*: aid programs for individual parties to encourage membership in their party.
The institution only has the function of informing newcomers without advertising any party.
Each party will create his own "presentation" page with a brief description of the party and "any" aid, if any.And maybe delegate this task to a new member (graduate by the institute) of the party to create the famous "jobs",in this case almost like an "trainee intern".
The institution would have his own fund where everyone can make spontaneous donations and perhaps add some (small) fixed by the parties to allow its survival.
Nobody loses, everyone gains.
To create some other "job",the institution could have 2/3 trainee interns to facilitate organization, cooperation, keep practicing the game and get to know the Belgian community. In other words, try to be as inclusive as possible.
What made eItalie die as a nation and as a democracy.
In eRepublik and the real life too 😃
This is just a draft of the ideas I have in mind and I would be happy to receive help and advice from everyone. I am very open to improving my ideas.
I just need a guide because I am a newcomer myself.
I remember once again that the institution is totally apolitical.
I'm really sorry guys if my English is shit but for the moment it's the best I can do.
Do not hesitate to contact me if anyone would like to help me realize this idea.

I like your proposal. There are programs in this eCountry that help people with housing. They are great, but mentoring new players is important. In eSouth Africa when I was active there, we had the Ministry of Social Development, that had sub-departments (Department of Fun, Department of Education). It worked well, but this eCountry is really small in comparison to what eSA had at the time (5000 active players)
I think we need to:
1) Grow eBelgium month by month. Safe immigration is a solution but comes with risks
2) Leave no player behind. The welfare of all in these boarders is the welfare of us all. We need to make sure that no player looses interest, leaves the eCountry or lets their player die.
HOPE Party is struggling with this question. Things tend to become inactive here. The challenge (even for our own members) is to somehow shock this society (the social aspect of the game) back to life. Competitions, challenges etc.. are a tool for achieving this.
Thank you,but it doesn't seem to be very successful 🙁
Don't despair, not everyone is around 24/7 😛 I'll comment in a bit as well
"3 hours ago", leave people some time to see the article. I just logged in.
I think the idea of a mentorship program is great. But it's by no means an easy feat to summarize the knowledge needed for new players in a way that won't make them think it's too much work. The learning curve is quite high. What do you think are the most important things you've learned about so far, since your point of view is one of the closest we can get on the matter (maybe Joshnosh can also share his first steps)? If we get an idea of what makes the game seems complicated for new players we can work on a way to gamify this learning process, with rewards funded by the state.
That's why it has to be gradual based on the player's level or degree of learning.
Considering that for me it is the "second time" that I start the game still not knowing many things about the game dynamics, I can say certainty that the real risk is to lose players because there are not many things to do ...
It is well known that eRepublik has lost many many players due to the fact that it often becomes a 2clicks game.
It seems clear to me that we need to change direction and the term "gamify" translates my proposal into one word.
There is a lot to do to organize everything, I know that, we will have to start somewhere.
But what do we have to lose since we do nothing but only training wars?
Instead it would be the best time for different situations in the future and get bigger over time.
Once the topics are decided, I suggest a method that's worked for me in preparing both military and corporate training. Use the existing Wiki and create a series of "information scavenger hunts" to walk ppl through. A short quiz at the end documents their progress and qualification for any reward(s).
That's the cool idea. So you'd have a quiz and have them look in the wiki on their own? What level of guidance do you think would be needed? Like a cheat sheet of acronyms and such?
Definitely need a list of acronyms and game phrases so that a new citizen is able to speak the language.
everyone could take care of one thing and then put it all together. We could create a channel on discord for that
I think it's a great idea, but I fear it's easier said than done. New players don't necessarily come for the social aspect of the game, so it takes them a long time to get involved with others. I remember a set of missions that kept my attention when I started, but I got stuck (still am) on the social one : write an article and have 25 people comment.
Maybe we could provide more of these types of missions to keep people engaged long enough to start interacting?
write those articles, pretty sure we can get those comments 😉
As D9 says, we can definitely ask people around to comment for the mission, just make an article that has more content than "MISSION: GIVE 25 VOTE KTHXBAI" 😛
nah, works just as good 😃
Apparently waiting for a comment 😃
