The government does a great job but been thinking lately and as private business owners and senators we could be doing a lot more.
I am at a level now that I do not spend that much money each day and starting to have some left over I am sure there are some older players that are in the same situation.
We need to boost our regions and add more hospitals or defence systems. I am proposing that citzens donate money so that we can help the government and ourselves.
To start this off I challenge all the senators running in the next elections if they get in to Donate their Gold to the Country Account so that we can buy some more hospitals. There are 40 Senators at 5 Gold each thats 200 Gold alone. As voters I suggest you approach your local candidate and put pressure on them to take the challenge.
To businesses I challenge you to donate 1 weeks profit to the cause as well. I will start this off by donating today on behalf of Eureka Holdings 5 Gold.
Have had first private citizen donate 1Au so much changes. Every bit counts.

i was going to use my gold (should i win) for weapons, but donating it is a good idea too and am strongly considering doing it
but stu, wouldnt it be better to donate directly to the nba or treasury rather than your org
I reiterate Stewart's View that we should have hospitals in all regions. Wargames have done much to level me up and strengthen me recently, as well as made me a more highly productive employee. The benefit of using the hospital is unparalleled in eRepublik, Therefore, I have pledged to donate $1AUD for each time that I utilize the NSW Hospital. And I call on all citizens who have made gains because of that one hospital, to match my pledge.

I'ld like to add that there is a slight misconception here that donating money will help the hospitals get completed faster, we are actually producing hospitals here not buying them, so the only way to make it happen faster is for high skilled construction workers to start working for the government. That said the money will still help in other areas
TBA just giving options some people messaged me and said they would rather donate to an org and then talk to government about what to use it for as once it goes to the coffers we loose control of the money. Personally I am happy either way as long as we are helping out the country.
Your right this will not make building hospitals faster but will help the country overall as money gives us flexibility.
Thats a good point Stu (btw wasnt trying to imply your untrustworthy was just wondering what the point was)and it would also make it really easy to see the daily contribution
And maybe it could all go towards a Q5 defense system company 😛
An interesting concept, but:
- additional hospitals don't grant much advantage - basically saves 1 moving ticket per person max. For a very large cost.
Further, as long as the pop is focused in NSW, the wall is very high defending the hospital, and makes a defense system practical. (eAus does have a Defence System company Blackadder. Rather than buying one, I'd recommend getting one onto the market, and leaving it there for the eAus govt to buy when needed - a battle lasts for a minimu of 25 hours but the buying process is only 24).
- 36 Senators? According to the wiki, eAus should get 40:
9 per state plus 4 wild cards.
- StewieB, given you guzzumped me after I said that I was going to buy the moving ticket company, I'll happily get up and say that I don't trust you. There, now nobody else needs to. 😛
No matter how trustworthy people are, being cautious as a habit avoids embarrassing situations when you *should* refuse to trust someone.
I will be donating any gold that I receive, should I win, to the Australian gov't. 😃 its in my platform.

@white laughter? What are you talking about? I have not bought any Moving ticket companies ina very long time. Aus Air was dowees which he moved under eureka to get mentoring from Maverick so not sure if that is what your referring to and if that is the case I was associating with Dowee long before we spoke and invested in Aus Air way back. Maybe message people before accusing.
Wonderful idea mate this is a great article. Voted. It is a united effort to improve the country, it speeds up the process thats for sure.
I am wondering what your org will be putting its funds towards? just a way to track donations into the treasury? Or do you plan to spend them in another way (Basically what is the point of a separate org?)
Org was to give people an option as somepeople did not want to donate directly to the treasury. Once we have a bit in the org I will ask people how they would like the money to be spent.
Also the org is more trackable so the money is not going through my citizen account.
