Impeachment
MrConwayTwitty yesterday decided to use one of his votes and try and impeach me, claiming that he knew an impeachment wouldn't happen. Not exactly the smartest move, given that the next few days are going to be pretty darn epic, and any new president would not be able to catch up in time.
To address some issues brought up about the impeachment. Ireland currently is in a state of repair and recruitment, v2 screwed up alot of companies, made alot of people quit the game, and litrally killed the Irish economy. This has taken time to restore, as you can see, more jobs are avalible now, the private sector is reviving, but were not to the point where we are stable.
In terms of war, the war module is now a game of timezones and numbers, ironically something ive been doing in another game for the past 6/7 years. Attacking the UK could be easily done, infact as Canada has shown, most of the UK can be taken in the US TZ, but, what about the Euro TZ? there is no way we can win there.
Thus Ireland is taking more of a defensive stance, which is why we have signed several MPP's recently, with the hope that we can help defend others, rather than leading the attacks ourselves. This helps improve our v2 war module skills and tactics.
I also have seen alot of comments about attacking Dublin sooner, or straight after we lost it, etc. We are in constant contact with our allies, and have a plan of action, which will restore our country, and that is the plan of action we will take.

As you read this, Dublin and the Southeast will be under attack, ensure you show up and turn as many tiles red as possible!

MPP's
We now have an MPP with Philippines, and an MPP with Canada going through the vote now, the Philippines MPP is aimed to protect them, they are currently being invaded by malaysia, who have been PTO'ed, this should hopefully spawn us a few good battles to practice on. We also have an MPP signing with Canada, if the UK attack again, this will give us a bit more firepower overall, but also if the UK attacks Original Canadian Soil, then we can get some battle practice there.
Embargo
Ummmm, Russia now have a trade embargo against Ireland, and pretty much the rest of the World that isnt aligned with them.
Kinda nice to see Ireland is special enough now to warrent embargos!
If anyone has been effected by this, please contact me, and we will see what we can do to get around this, erm, issue.
Immigration
This is a reminder for all TD's to ensure that they are reading the forums on who to accept into the country, please dont just accept people! The thread for who to accept is in the Dail
New citizens
Tomorrow we will be launching a new New Citizens Message, aswell as really improving the New Citizens wiki page, if you have any ideas on what you think should be on the New Citizens wiki, please drop me a mail!

Our MoC have been a little down this week due to issues with hackers, but be happy! lots of fun and exciting things coming this week from our Community ministers!

UK actually did less damage than Ireland when "it" took Dublin. What I can't understand is if there were a number of people who wanted to continue attacking why not say something instead of accepting a policy you don't want so that you can use that as an opportunity to topple the President later on?
@ Sean. Impeachment is a national pastime, mostly done for ignoble reasons - 15 minutes of fame in the case of Mr Twitty. Moomoohead v Irishbhoy was the one justifiable impeachment in my elife (born day 771). The rest were lulz, ragequit, partisan spite and Dubh impeaching himself for tactical reasons.

Good update - with regards to the war module I have the same thought every time I fight... we do not co-ordinate enough for the new way fighting takes place. Every time I fight it always seems to be 3 or 4 (of our) guys v/s 30/50 of them - if we co-ordinate properly we could really do some damage and the game would be really fun too. Maybe I am logging on at the wrong times but that has always been my experience

@Sean, Continuing the attack on the eUK was proposed and it was argued for, but it was thrown out by the powers at be. Because apparently we were not prepared, which is an invalid argument...
The impeachment was never going to happen because we're not idiots. Even though we didn't have an active replacement, more people voted Yes to the impeachment than No and you probably would have been impeached if we had any kind of alternative president.
The world economy is nowhere near coming back. It's not even in recovery mode yet and it won't until the admins make more changes imo. Almost every low q good on the markets is selling for below cost price and not to mention the goods their making are not even selling. Until the new changes are implemented then our economy will continue to suck for a long time to come.

So we're making steps to defend other countries? I know we're in an alliance, but our first priority should be taking care of ourselves. As Dylan said we need to be signing MPP's with people who have similar timezones as ourselves, that's the only way that we'll have a chance at defending against the old enemy.
I'd love to know what you were talking with our allies about when referring to us not attacking the UK for strategic reasons, because every American + Canadian I've talked to so far has said we should have attacked them... *sadface

We should be joining forces whit as many enemies of the UK as possible.
One example is sweden.
