Presidential Elections-> Now we wait
Treian
First of all I would like to offer my congradulations to our new PM William Duncan and his dPM Derrek Harland. The people of eCanada (well of 2 political parties) have spoken and have given you this great opportunity.
With that being said, I feel I must add that their cabinet does not span the political spectrum at all. They have only offered positions to "old school good-ol'-boys" or to members of the parties that supported them. Not really a great first move for the tandem, but it is their party and they can nominate who they want to.
I also find myself needing to say that while I wish them the best of luck as I want nothing but the very best for my nation as I'm sure all eCanadians do, I will be vigilant in my watch of this term. I believe their inexperiance will show through and that their election platform promises will not be fulfilled this term.
It's nothing personal agains't WDDH as I'm sure they are great guys, but I challange their commitment to the cause as from what I understand they are very young and have many other responsabilities that lay elsewhere. Simply posting up in the eCanada forums will not get the job done. While I was never the biggest fan of our now former PM Jacobi, you have to give him the credit he is due as he put in countless hours late into the evenings and weekends through to ensure the job was done.
So now we wait and see if the duo will make good on their ideals and their promises. They offered change..........but with their first duty showed us none.
Is this a sign of things to come???????? This is not a smear agains't the team of candidates, but a simple article with some critiques hoping that it will spark the change all eCanadians want and trusted them to bring............ Don't let us down.
We will be watching..............
Your friendly eCanadian Knight
Forever serving my eNation

I will admit i see a lack of CPF and CNC members in WDDH Cabinet. Even with both parties backing a DAL member of they're choice.
Yeah..... kinda funny isn't it??
Why's it funny? CPF members have been bashing the "Jacobi Regime" for months. This should not come as a surprise to anyone.
Did we hurt your poor little feelings? 😛
And Shaun Jacobi=WDDH? I thought Canada elected a new Government?
Canada is partisan. Get used to it.
Sir-- Yes you are right, the CPF did not get along with the Jacobi regime. Also from Spencer's comment they still don't.
However, the new WDDH regime has said it's going to be different. They said change was on the way...... is it?? You have already likened them to Jacobi which tends to say "no" things have not changed at all. So the fact that they chose to practicaly EXCLUDE two whole parties(from the top 5) from representation in their cabinet brings me to a good point. They choose to continue with the same old politics. Thank you for your assistance in proving that by the way.
This shows their youth and immaturaty if you ask me. "You don't agree with us all the time so your opinion is worthless" and you wonder why I voted for JB??? He included ALL parties and ALL opinions in his cabinet...... Not just his supporters and friends, which, as I've said in the article the WDDH team appears to do.
I think Shaun is trying to tell us something Gofarman 🙂
Jacobi- Yes it sure seems to be. It doesn't have to be.....
All it takes is for someone to take the first step. Show a little maturity in this and include all parties. Every party has good ideas as to how eCanada should be, why not have a voice from all parties to listen to??
"They have only offered positions to "old school good-ol'-boys"
I stopped reading after that.
Treian,
I fail to see how this was different from any other candidate, nor do I understand why you're bringing this up now and not pre-election.
I don't understand. One minute they're the old school, good ol' boys and the next minute they're immature and youthy(tm). Which is it? He did not include all parties and he admitted as much during the debates, which, you were apparently not part of.
Gofarman - I'm just reading what your, err, the cpf, err, someone's attack ads were telling me. Same regime, same problems... Prosperity, improving economy, security... I hate those things, don't you?
''I believe their inexperiance will show through and that their election platform promises will not be fulfilled this term.''
hummm.
All the candidate were newcome, I don't think experican can be cited as a problem, beside WD has more experiance than both candidate (as Vice president, or Dpm). I'm not trying to bring down the other candidate, but I think your point wasnt valid at all.
I think the point attempting to be made is that this is the OCT version of SEPT just with a few minor changes?
@Chucky: Naturally WD will have more experiance due to his dPM position.
@Sir DeLaShaunRon Smith: "I don't understand. One minute they're the old school, good ol' boys and the next minute they're immature and youthy(tm). Which is it? He did not include all parties and he admitted as much during the debates, which, you were apparently not part of."
You can be 80 and still be immature
@W😨 You are President and as such you can not just stop reading and not face those who are going to critic your promises and action sir. Take the time as Jacobi did. Read the problem and answer the concern.
WD- That's fine. You do not have to read it all. It is simply an opinion article.
Sir- I was refering to their choices for Cabinet as "old school" not to WDDH themselves. Sorry for the confusion. I did bring this up pre-election and if WD did admit to the exclusion of parties in the debate then I missed that, but I still feel it's a poor judgement call on his part.
Chucky- He has been dPM what?? twice?? Never elected to congress and I had never even heard his name until last CP elections. If you don't think I have a point your opinion is noted and dismissed. I think my points are valid and will be proved right.
Cypher-

You make a good point here. Is our new PM just going to cover his ears and yell louder than his critics saying "I'm not listening to you"????
At least Jacobi read his critics and gave them a decent rebutle and some type of proof that they were incorrect. If I am incorrect on anything I invite the proof to display it.
Neil III- I was unaware that you were offered a position, and that you turned them down. However just because they offered you a position doesn't mean that the current cabinet isn't excusionary. They very well could have found other eager members of the CPF or the CNC to be involved in the cabinet.
Aside from that, very good comment. You raise some very interesting points. Thank you for the contribution!
True dat, Jacobi!

jbdivinus had a partisan cabinet as well freezing out the CPP and CSD. Would you have the same critisms had he won? No, because as you mentioned, you voted for him.
Cypher - You know very well that's not what he was saying.
Neil III - The CPF is considered a large threat because they ARE power mongers and want to put biggots in a position of power. I feel it's necessary to bring this point up because it shows a lack of judgement on the CPF's part.
Anyhow, the people have spoken and for the 5th month in a row, they choose the self described "power mongers" over... Wait, what are the CPF going to do for Canada?
List of CEP/CPF accomplishments:
- Activated the MPPs that saw Canada's annexation
- "Lost" 10s of thousnds of dollars and gold while under their supervisor
- Failed to improve the economy
- Failed to create any kind of real gold reserves
That's all that happened in my brief time here in eRep... I think it'd literally be impossible for anyone to do any worse.
William Duncan ""They have only offered positions to "old school good-ol'-boys"
I stopped reading after that."
Perhaps a little more effort is required eh Mr PM
Sir-Had he won I would have had the same critisisms indeed. He has my support and had my vote, but I will critisize everyone evenly. As for your CEP/CPF bashing, you have the right to your opinion on that aswell, but I'm very sure there is room to do much worse.
i believe according to nosyt's article there were a number of CPP and CSD members in JB's cabinet. not an overwhelming majority, but there was representation.
Also darek aproached me about being in cabinet. but we did not ever conclude the discussion. probably because i wasnt paying attention and thought it was WD that messaged me (because we had talked the day before). *hangs head in embarrassment*
i dont think anybody can ask for a clean split between the major parties, or even a proportion to party size. its natural that the supporters of the candidate will have more cabinet positions.
sorry i'm posting with my org. This is screamingslave.
So then the truth shows through and the evil is the CSD and The "good" SIR......
Lying about JB's cabinet to try and win an argument.....
For shame.......
So then I'm back to my original position..... WD is unfit to lead this nation as he is way to bias in his opinions and cannot attempt to put a cabinet together unless they are mostly his "yes men".........
Step down and resign already..... it's been 2 days to long already.
