Pre-Election Update, Analysis, and Endorsement

Day 1,007, 12:56 Published in South Korea France by Yonai Keiko

As you all might have noticed, the Congressional Elections are this coming Wednesday. My good friend Alfagrem posted an article the other day that, as of this writing, resides at the top of the eSouth Korean media about the candidates that had put themselves forward so far. I noticed that a swarm of new candidates joined the race since his article, so I decided to take it upon myself to update his list and expand upon it. I do hope you find this compilation of information, as well as my thoughts on the candidates, helpful in making your decision on the 25th.

Chungcheongbuk-do

Leiwahara (SGA) - Presentation
Elignis Jinn (SGA) - Presentation
Nam Taek-Jin (SGA) - No Presentation
Shin Jae Won (KIP) - No Presentation
TroyTrojansCoach (KIP) - Presenation
WAZZEG (KPP) - No Presentation.
Pafka Tafkata (KPP) - No Presentation
Swordtail (SPeSK) - Presentation
chaosncosmos (SPeSK) - Presentation

As you can see, Chungcheongbuk-do will likely be our biggest race this month, with ten candidates from the various parties vying for the four seats available. Given the large population in the region, I expect that most, if not all, of the four wildcards in this month's race will come from this region. My personal endorsement in this region is Leiwahara running under the Sin-Gan Association. She's a brand new citizen, not even a month old, but her activity is phenomenal. Lei is constantly talking with us on IRC, she's active in the media, both by commenting on and writing articles, and even on the forums you'll likely spot her posting more than any other citizen. She's made the effort to commit herself to this game and to our eNation, and I think she deserves to be a member of Congress.

Chungcheongnam-do

Stillehavet (SGA) - No Presentation
William Choi (KIP) - Presentation
Kpakep4e (KPP) - No Presentation
Kuzmann (KPP) - No Presentation
sangchi (SPeSK) - Presentation

With six candidates in this region, we have a race! My endorsement would have to go to sangchi. He's currently the Party President of the Socialist Party of eSouth Korea, and he's been active on IRC, the media, and the forums. William Choi would be another candidate that I would favor, due to his promising service as the Minister of Media in the Phoenician admistration. However, he's not been as active of late, thus my endorsement stays with sangchi.

Gangwon-do
Szkudlar (SGA) - No Presentation
Dronican (SGA) - No Presentation
Yonai Keiko (SGA) - Presentation
xafania (KIP) - No Presentation
Aspadora (KPP) - Presentation
LeeHeros (SPeSK) - No Presentation
Comrade Wilson (KRP) - No Presentation

Here in Gangwon-do we have not one, not two, but THREE Sin-gan Association members running for Congress. Contrary to what some of ou might expect, I am not endorsing myself, but I'm endorsing Aspadora of the Korean Patriots Party. He's shown promising activity on IRC, and in the media. His ideas are interesting, and my intractions with him, though small, have been in a greatly positive light. I'm excited to see how he shall further develop his enthusiasm should he be elected. I'd also like to informally encourage voters to support Szkudlar, Dronican, and xafania over myself. I'm only acting as a buffer against unwanted elements in Congress, and if I am elected, I'll resign my position and donate my gold to the Bank of Seoul.

Gyeonggi-do
Dr.You (SGA) - No Presentation
Renomian (SGA) - No Presentation
altong (KIP) - No Presentation
Jackdaknife (KIP) - No Presentation
Georgioski Igor (KPP) - No Presentation
Krale Marko (KPP) - No Presentation
alan mabi (SPeSK) - No Presentation

Another region with some competition, we're on a roll! There's no presence from the KRP in this region, but it is the real life capital region of South Korea, so I imagine there are likely a few active voters residing here, hence the numerous candidates. My endorsement would go to Jackdaknife here, under the Korean Independence Party. He's the Party President of the aforementioned political party, and he's been our long-standing Minister of Health. He's an active community member, and has made a name for himself in our community, thus deserving a place in the Congress.

Gyeongsangbuk-do
hn98129 (SGA) - No Presentation
Alfagrem (SGA) - No Presentation
scsaby (KIP) - No Presentation
Cryil of Macedon (KPP) - No Presentation
Macedonian_Lion (KPP) - No Presentation
Carlos Bianchi (KRP) - Presentation

This isn't much of a competition, despite it's 6 candidates. Nevertheless my endorsement goes to scsaby. He was the Party President of the KIP for a gew months, and though his activity has waned lately, I have not seen any of the other candidates actively taking a part in the community, thus he's still the best candidate of the region, in my eyes. Alfagrem, though an excellent member of oru communiy, is only a buffer against unwanted elements in Congress. If he is elected, like the Narwhals and myself, he'll resign and donate his gold to the Bank of Seoul. Therefore you should vote for hn98129, Macedonian_Lion, and Cryil of Macedon, before voting for Alfagrem.

Gyeongsangnam-do
enonnone (SGA) - No Presentation
Mikhail Molotov (SGA) - No Presentation
Demigod_mk (KPP) - No Presentation
hassion (KIP) - No Presentation
rythemdj (SpeSK) - No Presentation
Veritas Causidicus (KRP) - No Presentation

We have another six contenders in Gyeongsangnam-do, including three native Koreans! My endorsement goes to Veritas Causidicus, our current Minister of Education. He's been a very willing member of government and a great help to the community. I hope that this congress seat will allow him to utilize his willingness in furthering the community to the best of his abilities. I would have to give an honorable mention to rythemdj who moved from Chungcheongbuk-do to Gyeongsangnam-do to relieve some of the contention in our most populated region. He went out of his way to understand what I was telling him about so that he could do this service for his country. If you see that Veritas Causidicus is already in the lead, I would highly reccomend voting for rythemdj.

Jeju
Killdo (SGA) - No Presentation
Torendo (SGA) - No Presentation
xael (KIP) - No Presentation
Alexander Macedon (KPP) - No Presentation
Matsugane (KPP) - No Presentation
Kreussen (SPeSK) - Presentation

Surprise, surprise! Jeju, my lovely little island that we reclaimed from the eJapanese in the war a few months ago, has drawn a number of candidates this election. I guess the beautiful waterfalls and magnificent fauna have attracted more than just myself. Unfortunatly, I don't actually know any of these people, so once again my endorsement goes unused. As I said in a previous region, though, I will always encourage having real life South Koreans in government, so I ensourage any Jeju voters to throw their support behind the two SGA candidates, Killdo and Torendo.

Jeollabuk-do
Herr Seidel (SGA) - Presentation
JaFe (SGA) - No Presentation
stefanzor (KIP) - No Presentation
Kole of Lerin (KPP) - No Presentation
Laivindur (KPP) - No Presentation
Jerkwaterbox (SPeSK) - No Presentation
John Lightning (KRP) - Presentation

JaFe and Herr Seidel are both acting as buffers aginst unwanted elements that might try to catch us off guard. If they get elected, they'll resign and donate their gold to the Bank of Seoul, like myself. Thus I encourage you to vote for stefanzor, Kole of Lerin, Jerkwaterbox, and John Lightning before you vote for either of the Narwhals.

Jeollanam-do
Meisai (SGA) - No Presentation
Pungrang (SGA) - No Presentation
Spase_Pekaro (KPP) - No Presentation
Toni the Macedonian (KPP) - No Presentation
Szati86 (KPP) - No Presentation

Another competition. Whoop-dee-doo! I am once again at a loss for any knowledge regarding these candidates. So I'll repeat myself once more, and support the two SGA candidates, Meisai and Pungrang. eSouth Korea is slowly becoming a country dominated by it's native population, even if the media doesn't show it. We should expedite that process as best we can and getting Koreans in the government is the easiest way to do that.

Now here's a few statistics about the elections so far! Because everyone just adores statistics.
