PP Election Turnout

Day 697, 10:25 Published in USA Canada by Greene12

Voter turnout is one of the better ways to try and gauge our countries activity, as well as individual party health, so heres a quick look at the voter turnout in every party with more than 100 members, in order of greatest to least. On average, there was a 58.25% voter turnout in these 8 PP elections. Some fun stats for those who don't want to look it up:

Democratic Party - 72.95%
Very impressive, a full 15 points above the national average. I think that a turnout like this signals a party that will have quite a capacity to attract numbers and grow in the Future. In my opinion however, the winner of this election, Franco, will be this parties biggest obstacle, can't say I'm thrilled with the Dem's choice in leadership.

The Green Party - 62.16%
Despite having the second highest turnout, this number is misleading at best. The election was won in a PTO by Jimmy Loomis, who paid gold for votes. He has since wreaked havoc on the parties forums. If you're a member of this party, please look to this forum thread for your parties proper leadership:

United Independents Party - 59.65%
Again, a good showing. Just above the average, a hopeful sign for this parties future, good luck to the winner Blake Chrysostom

Federalist Party - 59.50%
Just barely below the UIP, won by Citizenslave. Not a particularly contested election but again, above the average.

Conservative Party - 58.77%
About .5% above the average, a much more contested race won by 33 votes. This was won by DesertFalcon

Americas Advancement Party - 55.24%
Decent showing, but also the first party to drop below the average. In my opinion, the way the largest American party fares is important to the country as a whole, largely due to its numbers and its potential to organize and educate such a large group of Americans. Hopefully AAP has a good month, this election was won by Mercurius100

Libertarian Party - 52.33%
Another large party below the average, this time by 6 points. The Libs have been struggling with activity for a little while, hopefully they can really get of the ground this month with DanielCD as PP.

United States Workers Party - 45.43%
This number, 13 points below the average is in my opinion the reason for USWPs recent decline in relation to other parties. Hopefully they experience some success in getting out the vote next month. Despite being the second largest party, they come in last in this group in voter turnout. This election was won by Jasper Ferguson

Overall, its the larger parties that had the lower turnouts, which is to be expected, larger and older parties are more likely to accumulate more inactive citizens. Activity begets Activity though, so I wish a good month to all the parties, hopefully we see even higher numbers next month.
