POWER and GLORY

Day 973, 00:18 Published in Malaysia Malaysia by Amli Nujhan

If you are taking your pathway towards LEADERSHIP, you will arrive at the first junction that gives you 2 options:
One road to POWER, the other is heading for GLORY.

It is easy to understand that most people straight away imagine that if you have power than you can have glory as well; and vice versa if you choose the road to glory. In many cases it will not be like that at the end of the road.

What you choose will define your traits.
For those who crave for Power, they tend to be autocratic or comfortable in a totalitarian society. Material control and social status define their behavior. One can be happy with how much power he has control over others, but at the same time he could also be under the claw of another supreme power. It is the race for power till he dominates everybody at the highest peak of the hierarchy.
The advantage: a good handling of power enables things to be done efficiently.

On the other hand, for those who aim for glory will face different situation. It is not material or status achieved that take into account. It is the achievement on whatever motive which benefits the crowd; sometimes that leader gains nothing for his own sake. The tendency of being too democratic sometimes makes it difficult to control a mass of ignorant people. Need a lot of charismatic quality to charm the followers.

It is not only affect the way of ones leadership, but also the tendency on that power or glory, gives impact on his attitude if he is a follower.

If you behave the best, you may get both the power and the glory at the final destination.
