That picture doesn't have much to do with the tone of this article. I just thought it was funny.

The election ended before it even started. From my perspective the majority of the voters already had their ballots ready a week ago. The damage is done though and I won't gain much by dwelling on the past, so I won't. There are some issues that I'd still like to address though before I take my leave. I really don't know how long this article is going to turn out, so be ready.

Thanking Everyone

A thank-you is in order for my support base. 12% of the popular vote is way more than what I expected to receive after only being an official candidate for several days. I want you all to stop voting for me though if you haven't already. There other candidates around the world that need your votes more than I do. For instance, did you know that Russia has become the target of a political take-over? And I bet you'll never guess by who.

But really, there are countries out there that could use your vote. If you decide that you want to go help out, let me know, I'll buy your moving tickets.

Congratulations... To be totally honest I'm very disappointed that you had even considered running for re-election. So you had a stable administration, but at what cost? I didn't realize that you could put a price on this country's democracy. But that's exactly what you've done... you threatened the 2nd largest party in the country to endorse you, denied people their right to speech on the forums, you've lied to the public at every turn, and you don't even care.

Yeah, I'm taking your win pretty negatively. I don't want people to think that I'm "okay" with this. You're a horrible President and so that everyone knows, I voted "Yes" on Kyle's proposal to impeach you. If you really wanted to serve your country you'd click the button that says "resign".

And so you know, so long as I have my OP on IRC you won't be welcome in the eUS channel. Consider it a taste of your own medicine.

Kyle, you know how disappointed I am in you already. For those of you that don't know Kyle made an official proposal to impeach Mr. Scrabman. What will this accomplish? Well it gives Scrabman a full week to do whatever the hell he wants because now Congress can't propose another impeachment for exactly a week. Kyle, as the previous Speaker of the House in Congress I KNOW that you knew this would happen. Call it a joke or whatever you want, if Scrabman does something within the next few days.....it's basically your fault.

At this point in time I'm still undecided on whether or not I'll choose to run for President in June. It depends on my running-mate really. I don't know where I would have been this election without Claire.

I do have one thing in mind though... As soon as the elections are over I'll be resigning from Congress (again). I'll be leaving the country for a week or so (again). I'm not bailing on the eUS, I never have and I never will. But since I know Scrabman won't do it, I'll take it upon myself to do the right thing overseas. I'll be nation-hopping looking for battles and resistance wars to fight in. I'll be using my votes to block political take overs. I'll be doing the right thing while Mr. Scrabman sits in his throne-room plotting his next big move. If anyone cares to join me please let me know via PM or comment. I'd be more than happy for you to be a part of this.

Edit: I chose not to resign Congress. It would be wrong of me to not represent all 3 of you that voted for me.

Claire

Without Claire I would have been so lost this election. She was basically my Dick Cheney in the sense that she did everything while I just continued to look good. 😛

She's still undecided as well. We're both busy studying for finals and really shouldn't be on eRepublik as much as we are anyways. I don't want to say anything I might regret later, so I'll end it here.
