É com um misto de orgulho e até algum pesar que o nosso jornal gostaria de assinalar o fim de uma era que marcou Portugal em termos de prosperidade económica, social, diplomática e militar.

Seja quem for que ganhe as eleições Presidenciais e assuma as rédeas do Império, é importante nunca esquecer o que é que nos levou a este ponto e porque é que a fasquia está tão alta neste momento. Antes demais, devemos dizer que a nossa situação actual se deve em grande parte ao esforço e união que os Portugueses demonstraram, não só contra ameaças internas mas também como ameaças externas. Mas não só..

Acho que, por muitas voltas que se dê a toda esta situação... todos as nossas vitórias, todo este desenvolvimento, toda esta glória... vão dar a um denominador comum:

O nosso Imperador Lucifel


Bem, o que é que posso dizer sobre este senhor? Desde que comecei a jogar eRepublik, nunca vi em ePortugal um líder que conseguisse desenvolver o país desta forma. Tive a honra de trabalhar com ele enquanto Vice-Ministro do Desenvolvimento Interno (penso eu que foi no seu primeiro ou segundo mandato), fazendo ao mesmo tempo alguns biscates para o Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros, por isso vi bem como é que trabalha. Claro que esteve sempre rodeado por uma boa equipa, mas há que dar grande relevo o seu empreendedorismo e ambição, sem as quais nada disto teria sido possível.

Gostaria ainda de realçar alguns dos pontos altos deste mandatos :

-Recuperamos a honra perdida nos mandatos anteriores aquando da agressão Mexicana.
-Demos wipe à eVenezuela, estabelecendo Portugal como um Império Colonial
-Conseguimos humilhar e expor ao mundo a podridão que é a política eMexicana.
-Passamos o primeiro grande teste do Império Português, defendendo com sucesso o nosso país contra ataques directos Espanhois.
-Ganhamos o respeito do Mundo e fizemos novos aliados, como a Colômbia, Croácia, Índia, Grécia e Turquia (entre outros)
-Entramos na EDEN, ganhando uma voz forte e respeitada em todos os assuntos que dizem respeito à Irmandade.

Existem muitos outros pontos, principalmente internos, que sinceramente não valerão a pena listar, sob pena do artigo ficar muito longo.

Gostaria assim de lançar um profundo agradecimento pessoal ao Lucifel e espero que o seu sucessor consiga honrar este mandato e criar a sua própria era de estabilidade. Seja quem for o vencedor das eleições presidenciais, é importante manter a unidade e a atenção do país contra a ameaça Sérvia interna e continuar o bom trabalho deste Primeiro Imperador Português no que conta a honrar Portugal lá fora.

Dear readers of The Global Moustache

It is with a mix of pride and sadness that our newspaper would like to announce the End of an Era that defined Portugal in terms of economical, social, diplomatic and military prosperity.

Our Emperor will not be a candidate for the next elections, leaving the throne empty. So, whoever wins the next Presidential Elections, becoming next in line for the Empire, must never to forget what led us to this stage and why the stakes are so high right now. First and foremost, I have to thank the effort and union that the Portuguese people showed, along with the support of our friends and allies, not just against internal but also against external threats. But that’s not all.

I think that, no matter how we look at this situation... all our victories, all this development, all this glory has a common source:

Well, what can I say about this man? Since I started playing eRepublik, I have never seen in Portugal a leader that could develop the country like this. I had the honor of working for him as Vice-Minister of Social Development (I think it was during his first or second mandate), doing some part-time jobs for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. So, I can say that I saw he works. Of course, he was always helped by a team of outstanding players, but one must point out his hard-work and ambition, without which nothing of this would have been possible!

For those who do not know, I would like to tell you a few important events of his mandates :

-We have recovered the honor we had lost in the previous mandates, when we were attacked by Mexico
-We wiped Venezuela, establishing Portugal as a Colonial Empire
-We were able to humiliate and expose to the world the rottenness that is Mexican Politics, with their lies and schemes
-We passed the first great test of the Empire of Portugal, successfully defending our country against Spanish direct attacks.
-We won the respect of the World and we made new allies, such as Colombia, Croatia, India, Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey (among many others)
-We became part of EDEN, earning a respected voice in every affair of the leading alliance in the world.

There are many other factors, especially internal, that I honestly will not bother to list here, or else the article will simply become too long.

So, I would like to thank personally and to ask for a round of applause from our allies to Lucifel. I sincerly hope the winer of the next ellecitons will be able to honor this man and establish his own era of stability. Whoever wins will have to keep the unity of the country against the Serbian internal threat, while continuing to honor all our allies and all the work of our First Emperor.
