Hello and welcome back to Population statistics. Apologies for not writing one last week; it was Boxing day and I was busy. 🙁

I have gathered the latest figures on the population. I try to post a new article every other Sunday with updated stats and identifying a best performer and worst performer.

Roundup of the last two weeks events

With Natural enemy there have been many wars that need to be mentioned in this article…but before I get into that I must start with the most important news this week. Serbia, Hungary, Turkey, Iran and Portugal have left Phoenix. The main issue that these countries had was that the war module has changed so much over the last few months it’s basically meant numerous battles each day. This has led to what Hungary and Serbia call a waste of damage on smaller countries whilst they were trying to fend off/attack Romania/Croatia. This is set to shake up the alliance system within erepublik with Phoenix expected to die soon; shortly followed by EDEN. Only one alliance has emerged so far which is the American PANAM. Regional Alliances could be the future of the game and it should be an interesting few weeks and some tough decisions will have to be made by CPs and Congresses.

France/Poland War

This was a war started early last week with Poland originally Declaring war to Belgium so that it could get within distance of some of France’s rarer Raw Materials that Poland desires. After Belgium lost a region a Natural enemy declaration was put on France and this has slowly led to Poland moving through to the Rubber regions in the south west of France. Some questions have been raised over Frances allies; specifically Hungary and Serbia because of the supposed alliance talks between them and Poland.

Update: I've been informed that France are letting Poland take a rubber region and then peace will be proposed.

Germany

As Poland is now interested in taking French regions Germany took advantage and started a string of Resistance wars to take back some of the regions that they lost a few weeks ago. These RWs were somewhat successful with Germany regaining 5 of their regions. Although this was a success, 7 of Germany’s original regions are under Polish/Swedish/Italian control so they are still far away from being whole again. This is an improvement from the country that was deemed “Loser” 2 weeks ago in my article.

Slovenia/Italy War

Recently Italy has been taking a lot of regions from it’s neighbours Austria and Germany. Slovenia has now stepped in to take back the Austrian regions and get payback on the Italians by trying to take original regions. With the support of some strong MPPs Slovenia have won every battle so far and looks as if it will complete it’s objective.

Australia/Indonesia

Australia managed to get back on the map just before congress elections last month (though they still had open citizenship for a while via a bug) and within a week they are down to a few regions again. I have heard that they have recently accepted a Peace treaty with Indonesia which involves them giving Indonesia the majority of Australian regions including Western Australia.
To round up the news and continuing from my last article. USA wiped Mexico off of the map last week and look like they will move into South America to join Brazil and Argentina.

Winner



The winner this week is Slovenia. As stated above they declared war via Natural enemy law on Italy. This has led them to taking a few Austrian regions and slowly moving to free Austria after Italy pushed through them a few months ago. Slovenia will probably move through Italy original regions soon in payback for what they did. It should be interesting especially with the alliance changes coming up. Looking at the stats Slovenia has gained 603 citizens moving them up 4 places to be 21st on the list. This is a 38.68% growth though most of these citizens are just trapped Austrian/Italians so don't confuse it with a baby boom. Congrats Slovenia.

Loser



The Loser this week is Italy. As I’ve already explained they’ve lost a few regions in the last week or two to Slovenia’s advance. The stats are pretty bad with Italy losing 1518 citizens moving down 3 places to be 22nd (Just below Slovenia!) This has led to a 43.19% contraction which is pretty big for any country. Unlucky Italy on being the loser this week.

Other Notes


-All of the top 10 countries lost citizens over the last 2 weeks. Most of them lost over 1000.

-4 Countries are currently not on the map.

-Only one country (Croatia) gained over 1000 citizens over the last 2 weeks.

-Erepublik has lost 18236 citizens in the last 2 weeks having a contraction of 8.15%. We're still above 200k citizens but it looks as if erepublik is going through another death patch.
